Chapter 40: Escorting Julian To The School Gate

Anindya approached Julian, who was already at the exit. She put her arm around Julian’s right arm.

"I’ll accompany you to the gate, hehe" Anindya said with a chuckle.

"Haa... Okay" Julian said with a sigh and a small smile.

Suddenly, Silica joined in, putting her arm around Julian’s left arm, right where the wound was.

"I’ll take you too, Jul!" Silica said with a smile.

Julian immediately flinched as Silica held his injured arm.

"OUCH!" Julian cried out in pain.

"AH!" Silica said, startled.

Silica immediately removed her hand from Julian’s arm and said,

"S-sorry, I forgot your arm was injured" Silica continued, covering her mouth with her right hand.

Anindya immediately turned sharply to Silica and pulled Julian away from her.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, HUH!?" Anindya asked, glaring at Silica.

Silica gently put her arm around Julian’s left arm and said,

"I just wanted to drop Julian off!" Silica said, glaring at Anindya.

Silica lifted her head and said

"Besides, since I’m the class leader, if any teacher asks, I can give an excuse" Silica said with a confident smile.

"No need!, I’m good enough to give an excuse" Anindya said, tightening her embrace.

"But I’m as—" Silica said before she could finish.

Suddenly, Silica was called by Ravi.

"Leader!, The Chemistry teacher is calling us!" shouted Ravi, still sitting in the back row, pointing at his phone screen, which displayed his chat with the chemistry teacher.

Silica turned quickly to Ravi.

"Seriously?!" Silica asked, narrowing her eyes at Ravi’s phone screen.

"Yeah, I was called too," Ravi replied.

"Haa... Okayy" Silica said with a sigh.

Silica let go of his hand, then took a few steps away from Julian. Then she stopped and said,

"I’m sorry I can’t see you off, Julian" Silica said with a small smile and her hands clasped behind her back.

"It’s okay, Silica" Julian said with smile.

"Okay, get well soon, Julian!" Silica said with a smile and a wave of her right hand.

"Yes, thank you!" said Julian with a smile and a small wave of his left hand.

"GYUUT!" Anindya pinched Julian’s stomach.

"OUCH!" Julian cried out in pain.

"W-what’s wrong with you!?" Julian asked, slightly annoyed.

"I told you not to smile!" Anindya replied with a pout.

"Haa... Okay, let’s continue walking" Julian said patiently.

Anindya smiled and nodded, and the two of them began walking to the first floor. After they left, Silica and Ravi began walking out of the classroom to the staff room, They walked while talking

"Leader, do you like Julian?" Ravi asked, putting his hands behind his head.

"No" Silica replied quickly.

"Huh?! Then why are you bothering them?" Ravi asked with a surprised expression.

"Just because it’s fun, hehehe," Silica replied with a chuckle.

Ravi sighed, then said.

"Sigh~, I feel sorry for Julian" Ravi muttered with a weak expression.

The two of them continued walking to the staff room. Meanwhile, Julian and Anindya had arrived on the first floor. Before Julian headed to the gate, Anindya, still wrapped around Julian’s right arm, looked like she didn’t want to let go.

"Um, Anindya, I think you can just walk me this far" Julian said with an uncomfortable expression.

Anindya looked at Julian with a disappointed expression.

"Why?, I can still walk you to the gate" Anindya said.

Julian held Anindya’s head, as he knew this method always worked to persuade her.

"Anindya, you told to Sagara you were going to the restroom, right?" Julian asked softly.

Anindya nodded.

"Well, just walk me here. If you walk me to the gate, I’m afraid the patrolling teachers or Sagara will see you. What’s more, if Sagara finds out, you could be reported to your father, right?" Julian asked softly.

Anindya remained silent, her expression turning slightly sad. She knew that if her father found out, she could get in trouble. Julian, seeing Anindya’s changed expression, tried to comfort her.

"Don’t worry, Anindya. We can still see each other tomorrow. I just need a full day’s rest," Julian said softly, patting Anindya’s head.

Anindya blushed slightly, sighed, and then said

"Alright..." Anindya said in a disappointed tone.

Anindya started to let go of his embrace, then Julian smiled and started walking out of the main building. But before he could go any further, Anindya called out to him.

"Julian!" Anindya called.

Julian stopped walking and turned around. After that, Anindya continued.

"Julian, when you get home, get some rest. Don’t play games yet, let alone scroll through social media!" Anindya said, glancing sharply at Julian.

Julian smiled broadly and said

"Okay!" he said.

After that, Julian took a few steps back while waving to Anindya, and she waved back. Shortly after, Julian turned and walked forward toward the gate. As Julian began to walk away, Anindya’s expression changed from a sweet smile to a menacing one. With a blank expression.

"So her name is Silica, huh...?" Anindya muttered menacingly, staring at Julian’s back, who was already halfway out the door.

"I have to—" Anindya continued, glancing to her right.

Anindya, who hadn’t finished her sentence, was shocked. When she glanced to her right, she saw the teacher on duty on patrol.

"Ah!, Damn it!, why must now?!" Anindya said with an annoyed expression.

Seeing the teacher on duty, Anindya immediately ran up the stairs to return to class.

Meanwhile, Julian was walking across the schoolyard toward the gate. At the same time, Damar saw Julian leaving with his bag. Damar wanted to greet Julian, but unfortunately, at that moment, Damar was helping the teacher move a broken desk to the school warehouse.

At that time, it wasn’t just Damar who was being ordered to do the task, but also Wiro, Anto, Ian, Agus, and Dimas. Damar couldn’t call Julian because their work was being directly supervised by the teacher who had instructed them.

But after they all finished moving the tables, during a short break, Damar told his friends that Julian had come home early. His friends were shocked to hear this, but Wiro explained that Julian had texted him during first period that he wasn’t feeling well. After hearing Wiro’s explanation, they all believed him and went on to take a short break.
