He is a pure fire attribute user after all. As for Tan Huangyu, his attribute is dual wind and fire, he is not interested in water elements.
Xue Renxue asked, "What are we going to do, Bing’er? Should we do the trail? Though the rewards aren’t that useful to us, it should be useful for our clanmen instead. There should be at least water attribute cultivators in Hidden Tan and Xue Clan."
"Indeed, the resources from the mermaid race is a rare thing. Even though they aren’t as powerful as dragons, at least in water they can be considered overlords," said Tan Huangyu.
Tan Bingyu said, "The inheritance trial is not compatible with us but the rest of the trial should do."

The rest of the Yuanying cultivators who aren’t compatible with Water attribute had also decided to do the trials for the rewards. They wouldn’t work hard to do the inheritance trial though as it was something they are not compatible with.
A week had ended well and most of the cultivators had returned to the surface and sent the pearls they had collected for tally. The only group who hasn’t resurfaced yet is the first team who was allowed to do the trial for two weeks. Xia Baiyu, Yue Huashui, Xing Suiri and the two monks had reunited after learning what happened to Lan Guye.
They’ve also heard about the altar, Xing Suiri and Lan Guye had heard. They didn’t head there though after learning about it as Xia Baiyu said that going to that place isn’t the right time yet. So they can only hunt for treasures underwater and on the last day, they finally found where the mermaid race resides and returned to the surface.
As soon as they had returned to the ground, the announcement for the Minor Trial ending had been heard.

She was holding a huge trident in her hand and looking down at everyone in front of her.
The stone mermaid had spoken, "Congratulations to those who completed your Minor Trial. If you have finished your preparation and wish to accept the Intermediate and Major Trial feel free to come to me."
"However, for those who failed or didn’t even do their Minor Trial. Forgive me. But you shall be eliminated right now~"
With a single wave of her trident the water behind her hand turned into huge whales and dove down to everyone, swallowing those who had failed the trial and didn’t do it at all. Under the gaze of everyone in the hall, those who were captured had to end. Those who had done the trial but failed were drowned but were freed when they were about to die. As for those who didn’t do any trial at all, they were drowned and stripped of their qi until only bones and their soul were left behind.
Xia Baiyu was watching and couldn’t help but be surprised.
