Chu Feng ignored the rookie policewoman's question.
He simply waved his hand in front of her, and an invisible Spiritual Energy Shield covered her body.
"Be careful and shout if anything happens. This buff's protective ability is very limited."
After doing all this, a thought crossed Chu Feng's mind, and the key to the detention center's door in Jessica's left trouser pocket flew out on its own, landing in his outstretched hand.
Jessica felt her now-empty trouser pocket and then looked at the key in Chu Feng's hand, her face a picture of disbelief.
Chu Feng, having acquired the key, glanced at the numbers on it. He chose one before inserting it into the keyhole.
As the lock began to slowly turn, Jessica, feeling the growing tension, drew her service pistol from her belt and slowly moved to Chu Feng's side.
"CLICK." With a light sound, Chu Feng finally opened the white iron door of the detention center.
The moment the iron door opened, all the lights instantly went out, plunging the entire police station into darkness.
"Mr. Chu... are you there?" The rookie policewoman hurriedly pulled out her police flashlight from her belt and pressed the switch, immediately casting a bright beam on Chu Feng.
Chu Feng, whose vision hadn't been affected by the darkness at all, turned back and looked at a somewhat panicked Jessica with a light chuckle.
"What's there to be scared of? Just some bizarre scare tactics!"
"Uh... Mr. Chu, I think I'm just a police officer, not an Exorcist..."
"Ah... Sorry, I forgot about that for a moment!"
Chu Feng suddenly felt a bit embarrassed, nearly forgetting that the person in front of him was just a rookie officer on her first day.
Perhaps feeling that Chu Feng and Jessica were being too slow, the Bizarre in the detention center began its performance.
The ceiling lights in the ostensibly powerless detention center suddenly came on, and three hanging figures appeared before them.
A man and two women, suspended in mid-air, started jerking and then slowly began to struggle.
It's definitely an inverted pentagram!
Ignoring the struggling movements of the Bizarre, Chu Feng's eyes narrowed slightly at the sight of the white cloth covering the three figures' heads and the inverted pentagram painted in blood on it.
"Come on, you three. Which one of you will explain to me the connection between your Satanic Cult and the one in Europe?"
Seeing the three Bizarre present, Chu Feng focused his thoughts. The Four Symbols Spirit Trapping Formation that had covered the entire police station quickly shrank, swiftly sealing the entire detention center.
"???"
"???"
"???"
Seeing Chu Feng at the detention center door, completely unfazed by the horror they had created, the three Bizarre froze in midair.
Jessica, who had been somewhat panicked, calmed down a great deal upon seeing Chu Feng's disregard for the Bizarre.
Bolstered by bravery, the rookie policewoman stepped forward and asked, "There's one more thing. Why are you targeting me?"
Finding the direction of events deviating completely from its plan, the Bizarre, a follower of Paimon, was bewildered.
Instantly, the lights in the detention center went out. The three Bizarre, seeing things go awry and trying to escape, ran right into Chu Feng.
"BANG."
"BANG."
"BANG."
In a flash, the previously vanished figures of the three Bizarre were kicked into view by Chu Feng's foot, which glowed with a golden light.
"Trying to run? If I let you go, who will answer my questions?"
"Hm? You still dare to resist?"
As he spoke, Chu Feng stepped forward and gave each Bizarre another kick, sending them flying into the corner of the detention center.
Their Bizarre power, which invaded Chu Feng's mind in an attempt to create illusions, was instantly eradicated by his immense spiritual power, leaving not even the slightest ripple.
In the corner of the room, the three Bizarre, kicked almost to the point of their souls scattering, naturally lost the ability to control the police station's electricity.
The originally pitch-dark police station once again returned to light.
"Such a ruckus for just three little Evil Spirits."
Walking up to the leader of the Bizarre, Chu Feng yanked off the white cloth wrapped around its head.
Looking at the ugly, crazed face revealed beneath the male Bizarre's white cloth, Chu Feng frowned.
"SMACK."
With a crisp sound, the Evil Spirit that wanted to show off its arrogance was slapped onto the ground by a palm radiating golden light.
"Behave yourself!"
The other two Bizarre nearby, seeing their admired leader treated this way by Chu Feng, immediately roared, "Go to hell!"
The two Evil Spirits instantly appeared behind Chu Feng, but before these Bizarre could attack, Chu Feng's palm, gleaming with golden light, had already reached their faces.
"SMACK."
"SMACK."
The two Bizarre, already seriously injured, finally couldn't withstand Chu Feng's attack.
Their bodies, once again flying toward the corner, turned to ash in mid-air.
"No!" The Paimon follower, who had been silent all along, finally couldn't hold back.
"Damn human Exorcist! You've disrupted the sacrificial ritual! The deity will not let you go!"
The Bizarre's ferocious face turned towards the rookie policewoman outside the detention room door.
"And you, sacrificial victim, just you wait! You can't escape! You will all be my companions in death..."
"Enough noise!"
Seeing the other's arrogant demeanor, Chu Feng delivered a Demon-breaking Fist straight to it.
"Sacrifice? Mr. Chu, could it be that I've been targeted by a Cult?"
Staring at the pile of ashes on the floor, with the Bizarre's words echoing in her mind, Jessica couldn't help but look towards Chu Feng, her voice trembling slightly.
Chu Feng fell silent for a moment before finally giving an affirmative answer.
"It seems so. According to that Bizarre, you were to be offered as a sacrifice to Paimon. But..." Chu Feng paused, his tone shifting as he resumed, "a sacrifice can be replaced. As long as you're strong enough, they naturally can't do anything to you."
After hearing Chu Feng's words, Jessica murmured to herself, "Strength..."
After muttering for a while, the rookie policewoman seemed to realize something, then looked hopefully towards Chu Feng again.
"Mr. Chu, can you help me become an Exorcist?"
Seeing the look in her eyes, Chu Feng's thoughts turned. After thinking for a while, he nodded slightly.
"There is a way, but it comes with a price. I wonder if you can accept it?"
Jessica, who had been close to giving up, immediately nodded her head in excitement upon hearing Chu Feng's affirmative answer. When it came to her life's safety, any price was negotiable.
"Actually, you don't have to worry too much. The price is just that you need to join my Exorcism Agency and work for me. Of course, you'll likely have to quit your job at the police station."
"Is it really that simple?"
"Yes, it's that simple."
"Then please, Mr. Chu, help me become an Exorcist!"
