Chapter 86: Yue Ning Ties Yue Chen Up

Chapter 86: Chapter 86: Yue Ning Ties Yue Chen Up

Huo Feng turned to Han Jixuan who understood his gaze. He walked out of the cell, and returned in a few minutes with a chair.

He placed it behind Huo Feng, who took his seat, and crossed his legs elegantly.

"You know..." Huo Feng paused, his eyes meeting the assassin’s. "...I thought you were important to him, considering he allowed you to carry out such an important mission."

Huo Feng sighed, and shook his head, pity clear in his eyes staring at the bloodied.

"But I was wrong. I was expecting him to save you, but he didn’t." He clicked his tongue. "Are you willing to die for someone who doesn’t care about your life or death?"

The assassin lowered his head as Huo Feng’s words pierced the deepest part of his heart.

Raising his head, he glared at Huo Feng with his bloodied.

"You are lying! He cares about me!" He yelled, his shoulders trembling. "Boss won’t leave me here. He will come for me." He mumbled to himself.

Huo Feng smirked lightly as he watched him break down. He knew he was close to achieving what he wanted.

"He could have come for you. But to him... you are nothing but a discarded chess piece."

Huo Feng thought for a while before adding, "you might have completed your mission, but you were caught by me. In order not to ruin his plans, your boss would leave you here to die. So cruel!"

Huo Feng shivered at his last words, but his gaze was fixated on the assassin through the side of his eyes.

Han Jixuan stood just a few steps away from Huo Feng, but he felt the chill coming from him. Once again, he felt a whole new respect for his boss.

Looking at the assassin who had a look of denial on his face, he knew it wasn’t long before Huo Feng got the answers he craved.

Huo Feng didn’t speak anymore. Instead, he watched the man cave in as he underwent various stages of denial.

This was what Huo Feng was most proficient in—psychological torture.

After a few minutes, the assassin raised his bloodied face, staring at Huo Feng who had a composed look. "What do you want to know?"

He had caved in. He knew that whatever awaited him, here... or out there was death. He felt it was better to die in Huo Feng’s hands, than die outside. And before dying, he would rather confess to everything he knew. This could serve as revenge to his cruel boss.

Huo Feng’s lips slowly curled upwards, and he tilted his head, staring at the man who had a determined expression on his face.

All of a sudden, the smirk wiped off his face, and Huo Feng fixated his serious gaze on the assassin.

"I want to know who your boss is."

The assassin stared at Huo Feng, the willpower to continue to live has been depleted.

"His name is..."

______________

Huo Feng walked out of the cell with a cloudy expression. When they arrived at the hall, Ah Si hurriedly rushed to him, and whispered a few words into his ear.

His expression changed drastically, and he walked out of the building.

Han Jixuan was taken aback by Huo Feng’s prompt leave, and he proceeded to ask Ah Si what was going on.

"Hey, what’s wrong? Why did Boss leave suddenly?" Han Jixuan shouted at Ah Si.

Ah Si turned to look at the guy who had a curious expression on his face, and he shook his head. "Someone has messed with Young Madam. This caused Boss to be furious." He replied, and walked away without waiting for his reply.

"Young Madam? When did Boss get married?" He murmured to himself, confusion swirling in his mind.

As the car drove out of the suburbs, Huo Feng tried calling Yue Ning. But each time, it would lead him directly to voicemail.

Feeling frustrated, he threw his phone to the back seat, and loosened his tie.

"Boss, you don’t need to be too anxious. Are you forgetting about Young Madam’s prowess?" Ah Si consoled him as he stepped on the gas pedal.

Huo Feng’s chest rose and fell heavily. "There is nothing wrong with me being worried about my wife." He said with a straight face.

Ah Si laughed awkwardly. Although the situation and atmosphere were quite tense, his boss didn’t forget to feed him dog-food.

The car drove for half an hour before they finally arrived at the Ancestral mansion.

All the servants let out sighs of relief when they saw his car drive in.

When Huo Feng walked in, he asked, "where is my wife?"

The servant who he had stopped trembled in fear. "Young Madam is in the living room. She... she is with the Young Mistress." His head hung low in fear, afraid that Huo Feng would transfer his aggression to him.

Huo Feng only glanced at him before he walked into the living room accompanied by Ah Si.

When they arrived, they saw Yue Ning sitting on a sofa calmly, reading a novel. While Huo Yan was on her phone. Nothing seemed odd... until they noticed Yue Chen who had been tied with a rope, and was currently kneeling.

Ah Si’s mouth opened in shock while Huo Feng calmly retracted his gaze.

"Brother Huo, I knew you’d come for me. Yue Ning... she’s a devil. You can’t be with someone like that." Yue Chen yelled desperately as she struggled to free herself. She had to clutch on the hope that Huo Feng still had feelings for her.

Huo Feng, on the other hand, ignored her desperate cries as he took a seat beside Yue Ning.

"Baby," his tone softened, "wha’’s wrong?"

Huo Yan felt the hairs on her neck rise at her brother’s tender tone. Her eyes went wide with disbelief.

Yue Chen’s face drained of blood, disbelief clouding her eyes.

Yue Ning closed her book with a calm expression, though inside her heart thundered.

"I took care of your girlfriend," she said evenly, tilting her chin toward the bound Yue Chen. "She tried to ruin my peace."

Huo Feng frowned immediately. His voice carried no hesitation.

"She was never my girlfriend. Baby, I was blind to her tricks. But now..." He reached for Yue Ning’s hand, eyes steady. "...my eyes are open. You’re the only one."

Although these words were mushy, they were enough to let Yue Chen’s world collapse. Her face turned ashen, her desperate hope extinguished in an instant.
