Wen Yan was reluctant to listen to Song Na, feeling as if every word Song Na spoke carried a barb.
A few minutes later.
Wen Yan took a step back, "Miss Song, only the clothing is left. I'll go to the fitting room to alter it for you."
Song Na nodded, gesturing with her hand towards the open door of a room, "Alright, Miss Wen, if you go in, you'll see the dressing room. All the clothes I need for filming are hung in there."
Wen Yan turned to look, nodding in agreement, "Okay."
With that, she turned and walked into the room.
Song Na watched Wen Yan close the door, admiring her stunning makeup in the mirror, then she instructed her assistant, "Come here."
The female assistant, not understanding, stepped forward. Song Na whispered in her ear, "You take the coffee in later..."
Hearing Song Na's words, the female assistant's expression changed slightly, and she nodded.
It seemed Sister Na wanted to put Wen Yan in her place.
Song Na waved her assistant away, then took out her phone and made a call, "Help me find Wen Yan's information. I want all her details."
The voice on the other end readily replied, "Yes, Miss."
In the room.
Wen Yan walked to the dressing cabinet and opened the door to find a variety of outfits. She then picked out an outfit she thought looked good, placed it on the table, and began to alter it.
An hour later.
Wen Yan finished altering the clothing. To make it easier to distinguish, she hung the altered garment aside.
Just then, a knock sounded from outside the door.
She turned her head and said faintly, "Come in."
The door opened, and the female assistant entered with a cup of freshly heated coffee. She glanced at Wen Yan, "Miss Wen, are the clothes finished?"
Wen Yan nodded, "Just finished. I've put them in the dressing room."
The female assistant glanced into the wardrobe and asked, "Miss Wen, which one is it!"
Wen Yan didn't think much of it and replied, "The yellow one. Since you're here, take the outfit out for Miss Song to try on and see how it looks."
The female assistant smiled and said, "Miss Song has gone out. I'll tell her when she returns. Miss Wen, please have some coffee. You've worked hard."
Wen Yan looked at the coffee on the table and replied, "I won't drink the coffee. I'm going to the restroom. If there's nothing else, I'll head back."
The little assistant looked at her, a smile appearing on her face, "Okay."
Wen Yan walked out of the room.
As soon as the assistant heard the door close, she walked to the dressing room, took a blade from her pocket, and gently slit the back of the altered garment.
Then she put it back and walked out of the room.
As Wen Yan stepped into the main hall, she saw Bai Quan sitting on a chair to the side. She asked with slight surprise, "Why aren't you waiting inside for me?"
Bai Quan heard this and replied, "I was afraid I'd disturb you. Is everything done?"
Wen Yan nodded, "It's done. Let's go."
Bai Quan hummed and stood up, reminding her, "Yan Yan, I feel like that Song Na has an issue with you. Be careful."
Wen Yan smiled playfully, "Thank you. Let's go back."
As they were talking, they arrived at the first-floor hall. As soon as they stepped out of the elevator, they saw Song Beifeng, dressed in a blue suit, and Sun Liyan, dressed fashionably, walking in from outside.
Sun Liyan was very close to Rong Beifeng, almost leaning against him.
Seeing this scene, Wen Yan felt Rong Beifeng was going too far, especially considering how good Bai Quan had always been to him.
The key was, they weren't even divorced yet! Rong Beifeng was openly parading around with Sun Liyan. He was truly a scumbag.
She glanced at Bai Quan and noticed her expression was not good.
Wen Yan was a little angry and was about to step forward when Bai Quan grabbed her hand.
Bai Quan: "Rong Beifeng, prepare the divorce agreement."
The words struck everyone's ears like a bolt from the blue.
It was then that Rong Beifeng noticed Bai Quan. Hearing her mention divorce, his brow furrowed, "Bai Quan, what did you say?"
She actually wanted a divorce from him.
She had orchestrated their marriage, and now she wanted to walk away so easily.
Bai Quan suppressed the tears that were about to fall, trying to keep her emotions stable. Her children were grown, and she had her own career now. She felt there was no need to tolerate this marriage any longer.
"Rong Beifeng, I said I want a divorce from you."
She had thought she could endure it before, but recently, she found it increasingly difficult to suppress her anger. She was his wife, yet he allowed Sun Liyan to be so close to him, even defending her. At that moment, her heart ached. Seeing this scene now made it even more glaring.
Sun Liyan, upon hearing this, almost revealed the joy in her eyes. She looked at Bai Quan and pursed her lips, "Bai Quan, you've misunderstood us."
Bai Quan didn't even glance at her, her gaze fixed on Rong Beifeng, "Rong Beifeng, let's end this." She truly didn't want to drag this out any longer.
Saying that, she took Wen Yan's hand, holding back her emotions, "Yan Yan, let's go."
Wen Yan nodded. Seeing the provocation in Sun Liyan's eyes, she wished she could slap that woman again. She was utterly shameless.
Rong Beifeng watched Bai Quan and Wen Yan walk out of the hall, his chest filled with frustration, "We'll discuss this when I get back."
Bai Quan did not respond.
Sun Liyan saw the argument unfold and felt that divorce was not far off. With this thought, she put on an understanding expression and looked at Rong Beifeng, "Brother Beifeng, did Bai Quan misunderstand our relationship? How about I go explain it to her?"
Song Beifeng's brows knitted together, his expression as dark as ink, "No need. Let's go." He felt Bai Quan had changed recently.
Sun Liyan heard this and said, "Brother Beifeng, after we finalize the cooperation, can you go to a bar with me later?"
Rong Beifeng's mind was in turmoil, and he remained silent.
...
Wen Yan and Bai Quan sat in a taxi.
Wen Yan glanced at Bai Quan and comforted her, "Bai Quan, are you alright?"
Bai Quan, who had always been strong, felt her heart was about to collapse, but she still suppressed the urge to cry, "I'm fine, Yan Yan. Where are you going next?"
Wen Yan replied, "It's still early. I want to visit my mother's flower shop. With my brother abroad, it might help my mother relax. I'll bring her to stay with me in a while."
Bai Quan hummed, "Auntie has been very worried about your brother's illness. I won't go with you then." "I still need to talk to Rong Beifeng about the divorce tonight."
Wen Yan knew that no amount of comfort could truly shield Bai Quan from this. She said with determination, "Call me if anything happens."
Bai Quan nodded, "Okay."
Wen Yan got off the taxi a couple of blocks later and waved goodbye, "Tell me when you get home."
Bai Quan replied, "Okay."
She took a car to her mother's flower shop. As she got out of the car, the setting sun cast her shadow long, bathing her in golden light.
Before Wen Yan even entered, she could see through the window that her mother was busy, but there was a smile on her face. In the past, she had never seen her mother smile so happily.
