"What do you think?"
After leaving Song Lijun's house, Wei Yumeng asked.
"Although the diagnostic report is very clear, just as we considered before, her condition may not be real."
Wei Yumeng continued on Zhan Mohan's words, "And then combine that Catherine has already connected with Kai. If she commissioned Kai to help her forge all of this, it wouldn't be difficult at all. She wouldn't need to communicate with the doctor herself to get such a diagnostic report."
Zhan Mohan nodded in agreement, "I'll have Fang Xun continue to investigate this lead and see if there are any discoveries."
Wei Yumeng sometimes felt that Fang Xun's workload was increasing.
The Feng family's indulgence of Catherine during this period had made her increasingly reckless. She even felt that now was an excellent opportunity for her.
After all, everyone in the family was worried that her depression would worsen, so they indulged her in everything. She figured that even if she proposed handing over the company to her now, no one would object.
However, she couldn't just rely on depression as leverage. Without the shareholders' support, it wouldn't be so easy for her to take that position.
Catherine checked the time. There was still time. Yesterday, she had already contacted several shareholders: General Manager Zhao Li, former CEO of Yuhua, and General Manager Du Wenhao. These were the three shareholders with the most influence in the company. Almost anything they agreed on would not be opposed by anyone else.
Zhao Li looked at Catherine with disdain in his eyes. He did not believe that this young girl in front of him could accomplish anything significant.
"General Manager Zhao, I've only asked you here today to make a request."
Zhao Li raised an eyebrow, "A request? For example, asking me to recommend you to take the position of president?"
Zhao Li had already seen through Catherine. After all, at Catherine's age, how could she compare to their seasoned veterans?
"That's right, that's exactly what I mean."
Zhao Li deliberately moved closer to Catherine, "Do you really think I'm that foolish to let you, a young girl, ruin this company?"
Catherine's demeanor was no less assertive, "General Manager Zhao, why are you so sure I will only ruin the company? Isn't that kind of thinking too extreme?"
Zhao Li snorted coldly. He had always trusted his judgment.
Catherine had no contact with the business world. In terms of management or overall control of the market, Zhao Li didn't think she, a young girl, could achieve much.
Rather, Catherine's impression on him was merely ambition. While ambition wasn't necessarily a bad thing, it depended on where her ambition was directed.
"I know that no matter how I explain myself now, it will be useless. But we can make a deal. As long as you let me become president, I will give you what you want."
Catherine, while speaking, observed Zhao Li's expression, "I know you've been dissatisfied with the current share distribution for a long time. If my matter is successful, I can transfer shares to your name as you require."
"But don't forget, the premise of this matter is after you take that position. This isn't something I can decide alone."
"You can rest assured about this, General Manager Zhao. You're not the only one on my side. I am determined to get the position of president." Catherine said, raising the corner of her lips, looking as if she had already won.
Zhao Li scrutinized Catherine for a long time before finally smiling slightly, "Alright, I accept this deal. But I need you to sign a contract to prove our transaction today."
Catherine naturally wouldn't refuse, as she didn't believe her plan would fail this time.
Next, Catherine met with the former Yuhua and Du Wenhao in different locations. Compared to Zhao Li, these two were much easier to deal with. Du Wenhao was known for prioritizing profit. As long as Catherine offered sufficiently attractive conditions, he would agree.
Among these three, Qian Yuhua was the most important. He was one of the few who had a cooperative relationship with Feng Zhenhua and was also a close friend. To Catherine, he was like an elder.
"Uncle Qian, I want to take over the company."
Catherine directly stated her intentions to Qian Yuhua.
As expected, Qian Yuhua frowned, "Linlin, you are not yet suitable for this position. The struggles in the business world are not as simple as you imagine."
But Catherine put on a wronged look, "Uncle Qian, I know my qualifications may not be enough now, but if I don't do it, I will never gain experience or qualifications. So, I want to train myself as early as possible."
"This..." Qian Yuhua frowned. He still felt Catherine was too hasty.
"Uncle Qian, I see my dad and my mom working so hard to manage the company every day, but I can't do anything. I really want to help them. My dad hasn't rested well for a long time because of the company. I hope my parents can have a chance to travel around like other parents."
"You child, I know what you mean, but some things cannot be forced. You are not familiar with the company's situation now, and you probably won't have an easy time even if you take that position."
Qian Yuhua was genuinely worried about Catherine. In his eyes, since Catherine was Feng Zhenhua's daughter, the company would be hers sooner or later. But could Catherine truly shoulder such a great responsibility now?
Catherine moved closer to Qian Yuhua and began to act spoiled, "Uncle Qian, actually, I've already learned a lot about management from my dad at home. And if I really encounter any problems, won't you still be here to help me?"
Qian Yuhua lowered his head in thought, finally sighing, "Alright, since you want to try so badly, I'll give you this opportunity. But if the final outcome isn't good, don't blame me."
"Of course. If I can't handle this position in the end, I won't want to stay any longer."
Catherine's lips curved upwards. This way, the three most important shareholders were now secured.
Catherine finally felt a lot more relaxed, thinking that these shareholders were indeed not to be trifled with. If she hadn't understood them beforehand and tailored her approach, things would have been much more difficult.
She glanced at the time. She had spent the entire afternoon. If she didn't go home soon, she, as a patient with depression, would likely arouse suspicion.
The thought of having to continue pretending to be depressed at home made Catherine feel terrible. But since enduring suffering now was merely for the success of her future plan, she had to persevere no matter what.
