Chapter 170: Is It Worth It for Him?

Chapter 170: Is It Worth It for Him?

Hilla looked at Bruce, her face reddening as she whispered, "What’s daily? Don’t you go to work every day? I’m at home with Halle."

After she finished speaking, she laughed. If they had a child, it would be Bruce going to work every day and she being at home to watch over the child.

They could hire a nanny and she wouldn’t be too tired, but looking after the kid should be boring. What could happen to a child? When he was born, he would always be sleeping. When he could run, he would play with other kids.

She felt as if looking after the child should be quite simple.

Bruce would not be distracted by her. He leaned close to her and whispered, "I’m not going to work today. You’re at home with ... me."

Feeling Bruce’s breath which was burning hot, Hilla almost lost her mind.

In a daze, she sensed a touch of soft warmth on her face. It gradually reached her lips, and her tongue seemed to be tightly held by someone, giving her no chance to refuse.

With the strength on her waist tightened, Hilla went limp in Bruce’s arms and was dragged onto the bed.

Recently, Bruce’s ability to flirt had increased. She suspected that Bruce, who had been a trapped beast for thirty years, had been completely released from the cage and was taking her inch by inch.

Why was she so useless? Why would she yield every time he flirted? She wanted to take the initiative next time.

In the room, Hilla was lying on the bed, her hands nervously clutching the bedsheet. Her little face was flushed as she looked at Bruce above her. She was about to sit up when she was kissed.

While they were having sex, she heard the sound of a drawer being pulled. Bruce’s hand then stopped in mid-air because it was gently held by a small hand.

Hilla shook her head shyly.

Bruce was stunned, looking down at Hilla in his arms. After suppressing the impulse, he suddenly thought of something.

He got serious and said in a low voice, "Don’t eat those things anymore."

Hilla was confused for a second. Later, she realized what he had meant. Immediately, he felt even more embarrassed, trying to bury herself in his arms desperately with her hands around his neck.

After a long time, she stuttered softly.

"I, I’ve thought it through. Let, Let’s have a baby!"

Because the voice was too low and Hilla was getting into his arms, Bruce was

distracted and couldn’t even hear her words.

"What is it? What do you want?"

What didn’t he have? If he didn’t have, he could afford it. He was rich!

Hilla didn’t expect that Bruce couldn’t hear her clearly, so she looked up at him with shyness and anger.

Since Bruce did not understand and even opened the thing he had just taken out from the drawer, she shouted angrily, "I said let’s have a child."

After shouting, she chickened out and complained in a low voice, "What’s the need of repeating it loudly? Couldn’t you guess my meaning? There’s indeed a generation gap between us."

Bruce could never cross the age gap, but before, whenever Hilla had said that they had a problem in communication, he was a little unhappy.

But now, it sounded pleasant to his ears. Why was he so happy to hear it? He looked at Hilla with uncertainty in his eyes.

Was he thinking too much and hearing things?

However, the voice had been so loud just now. If he still couldn’t hear it clearly, then he really had to go see the doctor.

"Hilla, say that again."

Bruce’s hand trembled, and the small bag in his hand that had just been opened fell onto the bed.

Hilla covered her face and said in a muffled voice, "Bruce, can we have a baby?"

"Alright!"

He agreed to this request, very much.

He wouldn’t get out of bed until they got a baby!

...

In the hospital!

Halle said apologetically when she was helped out of the outpatient clinic by Orlenna, "I’m sorry to bother you today. Actually, I can come with Hilla. You’ve just arrived and should rest."

Orlenna smiled. "I don’t need to rest. I’m either lying down or eating at home every day. When I’m bored, I can only talk to my friends who are free."

"But they are also busy. Either they have grandchildren, or they have great-grandchildren. They are all busy looking after the kids, making me stand there alone like a fool. I might as well come here with you. I’m here with you and we can chat. We’re accompanying each other."

Halle chuckled. "You will have grandchildren soon."

When she heard "grandchildren", Orlenna laughed in spite of herself, "I’m healthy. Once I have grandchildren, I’ll chase after them every day."

"I believe."

"You are about to give birth. Why didn’t you stay in the hospital in advance? It’s hard to run back and forth."

Halle chuckled as she shook her head. "I can’t get used to living in the hospital, and I don’t know when I will deliver. I feel good these days. He’s good, so I am not too tired."

"That’s good. Such a baby saves you a lot of trouble."

Orlenna looked at Halle’s belly with joy. If Hilla got pregnant, she would be overjoyed.

Horton, who had finished taking all the things, came over.

After glancing at Halle, he said to Orlenna, "You still need to take care of your frozen shoulder. I’ve taken the medicine for you. But it will heal faster if you get shots."

Orlenna refused firmly, "Such a long needle. I’ll never do it. I can take my time to take care of it. Anyway, my grandchildren haven’t come out yet. I have time."

Horton shook his head helplessly before looking at Halle. "Let’s go. I’ve parked the car at the door."

They left together. At the end of the corridor, a lady took two steps forward with knitted eyebrows. After the three entered the elevator, she left.

Returning to the ward, Spring looked at Titus, who was lying flat on the bed with his legs and arms wrapped. She said angrily, "I don’t know why you have the crazy idea to bring Halle back. At first, I thought she would bring back our property. It turns out that she’s pregnant now. Do you want to piss me off? She’s carrying another man’s child, but you want to take her home and made yourself like this. Are you crazy?"

The more Spring thought about it, the angrier she became. Halle got much of their property due to the help of the Andersons. As a result, their cash flow had held up and they had to sell the property. In the end, they lost money in business.

It was one thing to pay for the business, but the child in the belly of the woman Titus brought back was not his. After Spring found it, she took the money and ran away.

Luckily, the woman hadn’t given birth. Otherwise, it would be a laughing stock if they treated the kid as a treasure.

"It’s because Halle is pregnant that I want to bring her back and remarry her."

Titus, who was lying on the bed, gritted his teeth and finally loosened his strength because his injuries were too painful.

"Are you crazy? Do you want to raise someone else’s child?"

"I’m not crazy. The child is mine, so she must return to the Tyson family!"

...

Spring was stunned and looked at Titus with an incredulous expression.

"What did you say? When did this happen? That’s impossible. She didn’t get pregnant for five years. How could she get pregnant so easily after divorce?"

Spring was not a fool. She felt it strange when Titus suddenly wanted to remarry Halle, and now she saw Halle carrying a baby.

Moreover, Titus told her that Halle was carrying his baby.

She had been looking forward to a grandchild for five years, but her wish failed to come true. Now, Halle was about to go into labor.

Before she could accuse Halle of being a slut and messing with another man upon divorcing Titus.

"Don’t tell me you want to remarry Halle, so you deliberately said that the child is yours. Why are you so stubborn? What’s so good about her that you are willing to be a cuckold? I’ll never raise another person’s child."

Spring’s eyes were sharp. With a look of guilt flashing across his face, Titus clenched his fists.

"Mom, what are you thinking? If the child is not mine, how could I marry her? I got bored with her a long time ago. It’s because of Cathy..."

"Don’t mention that bitch. Just looking at her makes me sick. I told you back then that she was just a bar girl full of lies. Such a dissolute woman only made us lose face."

"You shouldn’t have divorced Halle for her and lost so much property. The more I think about it, the more distressed I feel."

"Although the houses in my hometown cannot be sold, they can be repaired and rented."

Spring didn’t care who her daughter-in-law was. As long as Titus’s wife could bring benefits to the family, anyone was fine.

However, not only did Titus divorce once, the news that he had a child with a bar girl had spread. It was difficult for him to be with another rich lady.

"Alright, Mom. When Halle and I get married again, everything will be back."

Titus said in a low voice. Spring still asked with some concern, "Is Halle’s child indeed yours?"

"Yes, it’s mine."

"Then I’ll have a grandchild. Alas, if you had had a child with Halle within five years, I wouldn’t be so anxious. I heard that Cathy was pregnant, so I hurriedly asked you to divorce Halle to legitimate the child."

"Titus, I’m doing this for the good of our Family!"

Titus had shown no care for any girls but Halle before. In addition, they needed the help of the Holt Family, so Spring approved this marriage.

However, after their marriage, Titus went home less and less often, especially when he saw Halle, he hid. At first, she thought that they were fighting and taught Halle a few lessons.

It was only later that she understood Titus was not interested in Halle.

Since he had no interest in Halle, he could change another one. Anyway, there were so many women in the world, but unexpectedly, they ended up being tricked by a bar girl.

"Mom, I understand. Don’t worry. I’ll revive the Tyson family."

"Well, I’m counting on you for my good days. By the way, I saw Halle just now with a man and a middle- aged woman. She was dolled up in jewels. Did she use my grandchild to hook up with another rich man?"

Spring thought about it and felt that this was the case. Who knew what Halle would do?

Spring thought, "Halle is indeed a slut. She secretly carries my son’s baby, leaving us to suffer so much, yet she was living a good life."

"Halle, Halle is here?"

Titus was surprised first and then felt pleased because he thought Halle must have come to the hospital to see him. He knew that she was soft-hearted.

In the past, as long as he said something, she would run to him excitedly. If Halle saw his current appearance, she would feel more distressed.

As long as she forgave him and returned to the Tyson’s, the Tyson family would still be as before.

Hilla had married into the Anderson family. If Halle remarried him, the Tyson family and the Anderson family would be in-laws.

Last time the Andersons helped Halle a lot in divorce, and they would not watch Halle and her child suffer in the Tyson family. He knew that Hilla and Halle had a good relationship.

In the future, he could easily make the Tyson family stronger and return to normal.

Even with the Anderson family’s help, his family would become better.

"You’re in the hospital. What can you do? Don’t worry. I won’t let my grandchild wander outside."

Especially since Halle wanted to use them as the springboard, she would never allow it.

"Mom, talk to Halle nicely. Tell her that as long as she’s willing to come back and remarry me, we will be good to her and take good care of her and the child."

Titus struggled, but because of his injuries, he had to lie back down.

"Don’t worry. Halle is a divorced woman pregnant with someone else’s child. No one will want her. As long as I talk to her, she will come back."

Back then, Halle had done everything as she ordered and never retorted. What was more, Halle was now carrying Titus’s baby and must be eager to remarry.

"Halle is not soft as she used to be. I’m afraid..."

"You don’t have to worry. She dared not to do anything."

Spring was confident that Halle would listen to her.

Halle returned to the Lakeshore Center, but Orlenna didn’t get off. Then she asked, "Orlenna, do you want to go up and have a rest? Hilla should be awake by this time."

Orlenna smilingly replied, "No need." Then, she glanced at the time. "It’s almost time. I have to go back and prepare medicine for grandpa."

Halle did not understand why Orlenna had to do it herself. It was unnecessary.

However, she knew she should not ask, so she was accompanied by Horton into the building.

In the elevator.

There were only Horton and her. Halle subconsciously held her belly, and Horton immediately said nervously, "Does it hurt?"

Halle was surprised and shook her head slightly when she saw his concerned look.

Then Horton was relieved. "I didn’t expect a woman to be so hard to get pregnant. Is it worth it for him?"

Him?

Halle was confused for a moment. Assuming that she was displeased, Horton quickly added, "I don’t mean anything else. You are pregnant with your ex-husband’s child and he wants to remarry you. I just want to know your thought."

Would Halle remarry Titus for the sake of the child? Horton felt uncomfortable at the thought.
