Chapter 166: A Letter of Guarantee? A Will?
Hilla sized Margaret up. Luckily, she didn’t have fatal injuries, only bruises on his arms and legs, a broken arm, and a swollen bump on the forehead.
But those were severe injuries for spoiled, pampered Margaret. "Hilla, my arm hurts, and my head and legs." Anyway, she felt pain all over her body.
Hilla pitied Margaret, but she couldn’t deny that sometimes Margaret was a pain in the ass. Hilla tried not to beat her up many times because Margaret was Bruce’s sister.
However, it was not everyone’s duty to put up with her rude behavior. "Who did you provoke? Those don’t look like from someone’s punches."
Hilla had practiced martial arts since she was little, so it was common to get injured. Those bruises on Margaret’s arms and legs were most likely that she hit something hard. The broken arm made more sense.
Margaret sniffed. "Did I make these by myself? Hilla, don’t you help me revenge?"
Margaret was humiliated and angry because Hilla was the only fighter she knew and didn’t believe her.
Hilla shook his head and said, "You get me wrong. I’m just curious that someone in the River City dares to hurt our little princess."
Margaret could safely return and asked Hilla to revenge for her. That meant that man was a gentleman. At least he didn’t take advantage of Margaret when she was weak.
"I can’t tell him that I’m the youngest daughter of the Anderson family!"
Margaret said like she did a proud thing and became a master of hiding her real identity.
Hilla thought, "Should I give you a thumbs-up? How dare you be so arrogant if you didn’t tell him your identity? You deserve it!"
"Do you have any other wounds? Do you need a physical checkup?"
Halle was nervous when she saw the embarrassing, messy Margaret. "I’m fine. It’d be okay if I gave it a quick spray. I don’t need a checkup."
If Margaret’s broken arm were fine, she would be fine.
"You’d better go to the hospital."
Hilla agreed, picked up her purse, and pulled Margaret out.
It was better not to bother Halle with this. She knew how to deal with Margaret.
They were on the way to the hospital.
Margaret was still angry and could not let it pass. She would let the Andersons down if she didn’t take revenge.
"Hilla, that man was annoyed. He is a master but doesn’t get soft on me at all. What’s worse, he laughed at me and said, ’you suck.’"
"How can a man punch on this beautiful face? He is probably gay, isn’t he? He doesn’t even know how to respect me."
"Look at my forehead! It’s swollen. My face will be disfigured."
"Don’t worry. This kind of bump will disappear in three days. I promise. If you don’t eat something easy to inflame, you’ll be a beautiful little fairy again!"
Hilla frowned. <Would a master say something like ’you suck’? It sounds more like an edited version from Margaret.
According to Margaret, that man’s martial skills seem to be at the same level as mine, and he seems to be a self- disciplined veteran who has his practice time and habits. This kind of person won’t ... hit Margaret, I guess.>
Hilla knew almost every student from different types of martial arts, including kickboxing and swordsmanship, let alone he was a veteran. She had met some masters from the neighboring city in the previous competitions.
After a while, Hilla decided to ask, "What’s his name?"
Margaret suddenly lost for words.
It was an interesting question that she didn’t know how to answer.
Margaret turned to Hilla and asked, "Does his name matter? Shouldn’t you think about the revenge?"
"Why do you have to know about his name? If you two see each other and get back together, my brother will be alone. Then I will become a chief culprit who ruins my brother’s relationship. Bruce must kill me!"
Margaret quickly shook his head. "I don’t know his name."
"Why did you fight with a stranger?"
Hilla thought, "There must be a reason. Otherwise, she’s just a silly girl offering herself as a sandbag for others to punch. What else should I say to her? A brave girl?"
Speaking of which, Margaret was panic. <What’s the excuse this time? Should I say Julian seduce you? You will probably kick me out of the car.
Should I say I’m afraid that Bruce will be alone? Bruce will probably feel humiliated.
He will cruelly kill me.
I can’t say Julian looks like a homewrecker, can I?
Well, I like helping people. He ruins other people’s relationships, and I teach him a lesson. Fair enough. I have a strong sense of what is right, and I’m not afraid to act on it.>
"There is no reason. He provoked me, and I didn’t like him. Anyway, it is wrong for a man to hit a woman."
Hilla thought, "Your feminine ideal in today’s society where men and women are equal is quite cheeky."
"You tell me, is my brother your husband?"
"Is it testing?" Hilla wondered.
"Of course, he is!"
"Then am I his biological sister?"
"You are!"
"Then does it mean that I’m your biological sister too? And Halle is his biological sister too. Am I right?"
Hilla finally figured it out. <This crafty girl wants to set me up!
If I want Bruce to treat Halle like his sister, I should do the same to her. Well, nice kick.
Does she pretend to be innocent before?>
"Okay, enough."
Hilla quickly stopped her. "Did you help me take revenge?" Margaret asked happily.
"No. we’ve arrived at the hospital. We’ll talk about the revenge later."
Hilla pointed at the gate and got off the car.
She was familiar with Margaret’s temper. It was disgusted that a man hit a woman, but what if Margaret did something wrong first?
Hilla didn’t want to listen to only one side of the story and find trouble with him. If she was busy around Margaret, she could ask Bruce to take care of that man.
They didn’t encourage bad behavior ostensibly, but they should warn other people of staying out of the Anderson family’s business. The Andersons had their family rules.
"Hey, are you going to help me? Hilla, you’ve gone too far!" Margaret followed Hilla, feeling that Hilla was unfair to Bruce.
"You married Bruce and still loved another man. Oh my god! You must betray Bruce this time!" she thought.
...
Hilla took Margaret to the orthopedics department first, took a film. She was relieved after making sure she was well maintained
She brought Margaret out after taking some medicine for her wounds. "Hilla, are you really that cruel? Are you not going to help me revenge?" "You didn’t tell me his name. I don’t know how to help."
Hilla took Margaret’s pills and was about to tell her the dose written on the package.
But she didn’t do it.
"Forget it. I’ll wait until she cools down." She made up her mind.
"I can tell you, but does it matter? Why do you care so much about his name? How about helping me write a farewell letter?"
Margaret had to separate Julian and Hilla and helped Bruce to build up his relationship.
She wouldn’t let everyone sneak in and mess around with them. "Don’t ever try to make any trouble, homewreckers! I’m here."
"A farewell letter? For who?"
"That’s not what you should care about. You help me and sign your name. That’s enough."
Margaret was angry because she thought that Hilla couldn’t forget Julian.
"Puppy love is deep. Hilla has been married to her brother for a year and hasn’t forgotten Julian. Every time I picture that they once made out in the garden when Bruce was in a coma, I..." Margaret thought.
Margaret was furious and frustrated when she thought of that.
"Anyway, I have to bring Hilla back. As for the homewrecker, I’ve shown mercy to him if he wasn’t dead."
"Well, you have my attention. I know him well, right?
Hilla glanced at Margaret from head to toe, and Margaret was chickened out.
"No, you don’t know him, neither do I. I think a farewell letter is impressive."
"Impressive? Did you think I’m a fool?" Hilla thought.
Hilla saw the guilty look on Margaret’s face, and she knew she was hiding something.
Although Margaret was spoiled, she wouldn’t make a scene under any circumstances. Sometimes she was a pain in the ass, but she was a nice person.
"Alright, it’s fine. I won’t make you. Forget the revenge thing, and I have another plan. Let’s get back home. Halle is waiting for us. How can we leave a pregnant
woman at home alone?"
Margaret looked nervous at this moment, and Hilla was helpless.
"How can I leave her alone? I get her a maid! I won’t make the same mistake after the accident last time," Hilla thought.
"Hilla!"
A cry came from behind before they left.
Hilla turned around and saw Titus walking toward them with a happy face.
She held a grudge against Titus for a long time. His appearance irritated Hilla.
Hilla rushed forward slapped Titus when he came close.
Titus was stunned and sad at the same time. His mind was in a mess. Titus covered his face and looked at Hilla in a daze.
"You harassed Halle last time, right? Can you have some conscience? Halle has wasted five years in the Tyson family. Didn’t we pay back enough? You came and scared her when she was about to labor."
Hilla felt a burst of pain when he thought of Halle’s pale and panicked face that day.
Halle had never been so scared before. Even when she got divorced, she was only sad for a day or two, but that day when Hilla touched Halle’s hand, it was cold.
One could imagine how scared Halle was at that time.
"What happened? Is the baby well? Sorry, did I scare her that day?"
"I didn’t do it on purpose. I saw Halle, and I was happy. I wanted to take her back to the Tyson family. I wanted to live a happy life with her."
"I know her baby does not have a father. I don’t mind it, and I can help her raise the baby. I promise I will treat him as if he is my kid. As long as Halle forgives me and remarries me, I will do anything."
Hilla was furious at first, but she didn’t expect Titus to say these to her nervously.
The ridiculous thing was that Titus kicked Halle out of the house when he had an affair. Such a cruel man was begging a remarry."
"If I were Halle, I would be angry now," Hilla thought.
"Forgive you?"
"Hilla, help me. I know I was wrong. I want to win her back."
"You want a remarry?"
"Yes. I don’t mind if she is pregnant with someone else’s child. I love Halle. I want to be with her again. I will treat the baby well. If you don’t believe me, I can write a guarantee letter or a will now!"
Hilla was silent, and Titus thought his sincerity moved Hilla.
He knew that Hilla and Halle had a good bond. Even though Halle had been with the Tyson family for two years, she didn’t stop concerning Hilla regardless of the Tyson family.
As long as Hilla became soft-hearted, it wouldn’t be the case.
"Write a guarantee letter or a will? Out of the question! Even if Halle doesn’t get married for the rest of her life, she won’t marry you and get stuck in the Tyson family again."
"Hilla, I want to make peace with Halle. Give me a chance." Titus ignored the people’s gazes around him and rushed over.
"Think about it, Hilla. Your sister is giving birth soon. How will the people see her if the baby is without a father? Just like how they look at us now. Do you think the kid shouldn’t take the blame?"
"I will marry Halle and raise the baby. At this time, if Halle and I will get married, the child will have a legal father when he comes to the world. I should take care of him and not let people laugh at him."
"Hale is supposed to be my wife. We just divorced not long ago. As long as I tell people he is my baby, no one will doubt it."
Everything made sense.
Halle and the baby didn’t have to be assaulted by people. Halle didn’t need to blame the shotgun marriage, and the baby had a legal father. For a moment, Hilla wanted to rush back and persuade Halle into a remarry.
