Chapter 92: Setting Haman Straight

Chapter 92: Setting Haman Straight

Aiden slowly walked towards Haman with that grin on his face and both arms now.

Haman managed to get back up while walking backwards, as though he was moving away from Aiden who was approaching.

Then he stretched a palm towards Aiden and called out, "Don’t think you scare me! Wind blades!"

His wind magic took the shape of large blades of winds and then one after the other, they shot out towards Aiden with so much momentum behind them.

Aiden tilted his head slightly to the right side to avoid the first blade that flew past him.

The next blade of wind came in quick succession, causing Aiden to bend slightly and avoid the blade that flew right above him.

When the last blade flew in the next second, Aiden then used his skill: void step, and vanished from Haman’s field of view entirely.

Haman’s eyes were filled with terror at the sudden disappearance and wondered where Aiden had disappeared to, till he spoke from a certain distance behind,

"Your Wind Magic is uninteresting" then he placed his palm over his mouth to cover the yawn. The system had as also copied the techniques

[Technique Copied: Wind Blades (B)]

"You bastard!" Haman yelled whilst turning behind him about to cast his wind magic again, however Aiden intercepted that attempt by using his Dragon’s Fear skill.

[Dragon Fear]

His body exuded so much pressure that engulfed and surrounded the immediate area, whilst further spreading out to its maximum range of two hundred meters.

This was his dragon’s aura effect and Right in that forest, every other living being stopped moving.

This included every animal within the technique’s range, not even insects escape this. If one looked closer, he would seen that even squirrels froze and their bodies fidgeted

Their wills had been crippled and they had been dominated by fear of Aiden’s presence.

Haman’s body was shivering from the same effect. It felt like he was directly infront of the gaping teeth of a dragon. He held his breath and couldn’t move, cause it felt like one wrong movement would spell his death.

Aiden chuckled softly looking at this, haman was sweating profusely. "Wait, did he just piss himself?" Then Aiden laughed out even more when he saw Haman’s trouser soaking up.

"Too bad this is only but the first pangs of the terror and pain that you shall be feeling today" then Aiden’s finger nails grew slightly into sharper claws.

"First time I did this, a good part of me felt bad, but in case..." a devious grin appeared on his lips, "i’m going to enjoy this"

....

For the better part of the hour, Haman’s screaming voice kept echoing through the forest.

On his face and different parts of his skin were claw scratches and wound.

"Promotion" Aiden whispered and the pain of each scratch would increased by ten fold. He would then heal haman slightly with goddess embrace so that the mage wouldn’t pass way from the pain. And after the healing, he would reapply promotion again on the wounds.

This process continued and after a while, the screams stopped.

Haman was panting and trying to catch his breath. His eyes were red from tearing up several times and each time he had to scream.

Aiden then walked towards haman and crouched to ask him this, "have you learnt your lessons?"

Haman nodded slowly.

"Will you continue to prey on initiates?" Aiden asked again

Haman shook his head and Aiden replied, "Good," before casting the healing spell: Goddess Embrace.

There was that relief that washed over him, the scratches and claw cuts went away entirely nd most of the pain was gone.

However one thing was going to remain; And that was, the trauma. This would make certain that he never attempted to bully anyone ever again.

Soon after, Aiden grabbed hold of him and used the transport spell to teleport them away back to the Academy.

He warped back to the corridor of the Fractured Stars guild, left Haman close to the door post before he had warped to his own guild.

Haman opened the door and walked in, all somber and quiet. Some of the members of the guild immediately rushed towards him, his friends especially.

"What happened?" One of them asked. And as if that question triggered it all over, haman gushed out tears.

Talen was present in the room and had been told of Haman’s sudden disappearance when the initiate, Aiden had arrived.

Then he walked over to Haman and said, "quiet down those tears and tell me exactly what happened"

....

Aiden had returned to the guild to see that Oliver was already socializing with members of Ravens Grave. Though his uniform currently was still the odd one out.

Elena had also started treating his face with goddess embrace. The only reason Aiden hadn’t dealt with it earlier was because it would serve as enough proof to the Grand Magus.

Laela spotted Aiden and walked up to him, then he asked, "I take it, it went well with Thamoryn?"

"I can’t say I don’t loathe being around that woman, but yes it did. How’s the other person?" Laela asked

"Let’s just say from today forth, he’ll be a fit and proper mage" Aiden replied with that smile on his face.

Laela stared back with a smile on her face.

Arianna who watched from a corner had also smiled when Aiden walked back inside.

....

Later on within the Grand Magus’s Chambers. A messenger in the form of a Hawk flew in with a folded note attached to one of its legs.

The note was had a seal on it with the system of a dragon breathing fire. So this was a message from Dragonhold.

It read;

By Decree of His Majesty, King Jarius of House Crowley, Sovereign of the Nine Kingdoms and Defender of the Wyrm Seat

To Lord Oberon Thorne, Ruler of the Kingdom of Xathia.

Know ye that it is Our royal will and pleasure to summon thee to the Great Hall of Highcourt,to partake in a Feast of Plenty prepared in celebration of Our reign and in honor of the bonds that bind Our realm.

Let no hindrance stay thy coming as a place of honor shall be reserved for thee, thy household, and thy retinue, and thou shalt be received with all dignity due thy station.

This feast, is to be held in two days.

Thamoryn read through the note with a puzzled expression on her face. "Hm..."

She immediately stood up and made her way to the throne room.

....

Eventually Thamoryn had met with the Lord Oberon and had read out the message to him.

Lord Oberon had a scowl on his face as he listened to the writings of the letter. To be fair, his most annoyance was due to the Titles he heard accrued to Jarius and not him.

In analysis of the letter, Thamoryn said, ""This says nothing about any of his children, Lucas and Lysandra getting married. I don’t think he’d also be calling a feast to celebrate his secret no-name bastard. I wonder what Jarius is playing at"

"We’ll have to see in two days" Oberon replied

They knew he had a bastard child somewhere. They didn’t just know his name

...

Later that evening, Elena and Aiden walked all the way out to the open field.

She was going to keep her promise by showing him the god level spell she had promised.

Elena’s staff had also been built completely, so this was going to be easier for her.

"The spell’s name is Limbo Dome and it summons an invisible dome that makes all matter within it nonexistent to the outside world. The Dome itself then becomes an invisible world that coexists with the physical"

"Hm..." Aiden muttered, assimilating the explanation she was given.

"Naturally, A Limbo Dome that has been set up is one of the hardest spells to detect. Only an exceptional few can perceive the presence of the dome but unless invited or forced in by the caster, no other person will not be able to go into the dome once the spell is casted into fruition"

Aiden nodded in understanding, and then Elena said, "I’ll show you what it looks like. Take a few steps back"

Aiden then took some steps backward.

"More..." Elena said, and then Aiden smiled and took more steps backwards.

Elena had been standing beside a tree. Then she stamped her staff on the ground and casted the spell in unison. "Limbo dome!" She called out.

A large invisible dome spanned outwards and instantly Elena alongside the long tree beside her were no longer visible to the eye.

Aiden activated his dragon’s sight in an attempt to see if Elena was just invisible ( but for the first time, he couldn’t see something he was actually looking for.

However, something about him could perceive it. He walked towards the spot where elena had once stood and he could feel her being close and yet at the same time, it also felt like elena was never there.

It had been hard for him to particularly pick her up and then Elena undid the spell.

She held her staff with both her hands so that could stead herself as she had suffered some form of mana loss.

"It still drains quite a lot even with the purple hermis stone" Elena sighed.

However it was still much better compared to if she casted the spell alone without that help.

"That spell is pretty impressive" Aiden said, as he noticed that even the tree that disappeared with Elena was right there.
