Before Zhou Hong could finish speaking, Qin Mengxue got angry.
"You're not asking me to bring you toilet paper, are you?"
"That's not it. I want you to give me the class monitor's phone number. I'll call him to bring it to me."
Qin Mengxue glanced at the class monitor, who was indignantly organizing everyone to sign. She couldn't help but think to herself, "Zhou Hong, you're really twisting the knife. He can barely stand you now, and you still want him to bring you toilet paper."
"Hurry up, my legs are numb from squatting," Zhou Hong urged.
"I can give you his number, but you can't say it was me who gave it to you," Qin Mengxue said helplessly, worrying about the consequences if the class monitor found out she had provided his number.
"Okay, quickly."
Qin Mengxue quietly sent the class monitor's number.
Upon receiving the class monitor's phone number, Zhou Hong dialed it without a word.
"Ring, ring!" The class monitor's phone rang. Seeing an unknown number, he quickly answered and put it on speakerphone.
"Hello, who is this?"
"It's me, Zhou Hong," came Zhou Hong's voice from the other end of the line.
Hearing Zhou Hong's voice, everyone in the class turned their eyes to the class monitor.
"How did you get my number?" the class monitor asked, frowning.
"Never mind that. I'm in the restroom and forgot to bring paper. Hurry up and bring me some," Zhou Hong commanded.
At this, the class monitor's face changed drastically, and all the classmates were stunned.
"Zhou Hong, what the hell are you saying? You want me to bring you toilet paper?" The class monitor's face turned ashen with anger, wondering if he had misheard.
"What else? You're the class monitor, and isn't the class monitor supposed to serve all the classmates? I'm also in this class. Is there something wrong with me asking you to bring me some paper?" Zhou Hong scoffed. The reason he had asked Qin Mengxue for the class monitor's number was precisely because the class monitor's duty was to serve all classmates. Otherwise, why would he have contacted him?
"You...?" The class monitor was so angry his chest felt like it was burning. He had never met such a person. He had forgotten toilet paper in the restroom and was asking him to bring it. While it was true that as the class monitor, he was supposed to serve the entire class, this was not the kind of service being referred to; the two were entirely different concepts.
"Hurry up, my legs are numb from squatting," Zhou Hong urged.
"I won't bring it. What are you going to do about it?" the class monitor said indignantly.
"If you don't bring it, then I'll send you home to grow sweet potatoes," Zhou Hong threatened.
Enraged, the class monitor directly hung up the phone.
"I won't bring it. Let's see what he can do," the class monitor said.
"Class monitor, maybe you should just bring it. He's a hooligan, why would you offend one and get beaten up for nothing?"
"Yeah, class monitor, it's not worth getting into a fight with a hooligan."
Several classmates persuaded the class monitor.
"Ahhh!" The class monitor roared in frustration. Finally, he compromised. Everyone was right. He was a top student, and Zhou Hong was a hooligan. It was better to find a way to get rid of the hooligan than to fight with him.
So, the class monitor took a pack of tissues and went to the restroom.
"Here," Zhou Hong said, extending his hand from under the door when he heard someone approaching.
"Hmph!" The class monitor snorted angrily, threw the tissues into Zhou Hong's hand, and left without looking back.
"Thank you, class monitor. You're a good class monitor, very responsible in your duties," Zhou Hong praised him immediately.
Hearing Zhou Hong's words, the class monitor was driven to distraction.
"Listen to me, this is not my responsibility!" the class monitor roared.
"Alright, alright, you can't take a compliment. I praised you once, and you're already getting carried away."
The class monitor, too annoyed to waste any more words with Zhou Hong, turned and returned to the classroom.
"Zhou Hong, I'll take this joint petition to the department director right away. Let's see how long you can keep this up."
The class monitor immediately returned to the classroom.
"Everyone, have you all signed?" the class monitor asked.
"All students have signed."
"Alright, I'll take the joint petition to the department director now. I want to see how strong this idiot's backing is." The class monitor immediately took the joint petition and left the classroom.
The department director's office was in the administrative building, behind the teaching building, and very close by.
In no time, the class monitor arrived at the department director's office and reported everything that had happened, word for word.
Meanwhile, Zhou Hong, having finished in the restroom, returned to the classroom as if nothing had happened.
Soon, the bell for class rang. However, no teacher came for this period, and everyone was expected to study independently.
The students in the class were quiet, no one speaking, seemingly waiting for the class monitor's return.
Indeed, about ten minutes later, the class monitor walked in from the classroom door.
"How did it go, class monitor?" a student asked cautiously.
"Heh heh," the class monitor let out a smile.
"Yeah!"
The entire class erupted in cheers.
Zhou Hong looked at everyone, bewildered. Why were they cheering for no reason?
The next moment, the class monitor walked up to Zhou Hong and placed the joint petition on his desk.
"What is this?" Zhou Hong asked curiously.
"This is our class's joint petition. I've already shown it to the department director. He despises you. He has already made a note on the petition. Take a look yourself."
Zhou Hong picked up the joint petition. Indeed, it had every student's signature. At the bottom of the signatures, there was a note written in pen, with a red seal next to it.
"Approved for expulsion. See? This note was personally approved by the department director. What this means, I don't need to tell you," the class monitor said coldly.
"Heh heh, a mere department director, what right does he have to expel me?" Zhou Hong said with a cold laugh, unfazed.
Everyone suspected they had misheard. His tone was too arrogant, not even respecting the department director.
"In any case, the department director has spoken. If you don't leave, the campus security team will come and escort you out."
Zhou Hong stood up and asked, "Where is the department director's office? I want to hear him personally say that I've been expelled."
"You still won't give up? Then go find him. He's in the administrative building behind this one, on the fourth floor."
Without another word, Zhou Hong immediately went to the administrative building and indeed found the sign for the department director's office on the fourth floor.
"Knock, knock, knock!"
Zhou Hong knocked on the door.
"Come in."
Zhou Hong entered the department director's office.
"Which class are you from? What can I do for you?" the department director asked, looking up.
"I'm from the sophomore accounting class, my name is Zhou Hong. I'm here now to hear you personally say that I've been expelled," Zhou Hong said calmly.
The department director looked up and snorted, "So you're Zhou Hong. I already know about you. You're the transfer student who was allowed in by Deputy Director Zhang last night, right? It was through Joe Wanli's connections, wasn't it."
