Chapter 59 The Wild

"I'm back, Grandma," Yan Cheng said, looking at Wang Muman.

"I know, aren't you going to sit on the sofa? Grandma isn't blind!" Grandma retorted, though she greeted him politely, her eyes weren't on him.

Seeing Wang Muman eating nuts, Yan Cheng felt relieved, fearing Grandma might ask some strange questions that would make her uncomfortable.

"Grandma, Zhou Mingyu is coming later and will stay with us, just like before." Yan Cheng had initially refused Zhou Mingyu's visit, but he couldn't refuse him and had agreed.

Grandma said as if it were routine, "I know. Then I'll go prepare lunch now. It'll be lively today! Muman, do you want to stay here these few days? Since everyone is coming, it'll save you the trouble of running back and forth. Don't worry, Grandma and you can stay on the second floor, and Little Cheng and Little Yu can stay on the first floor to keep watch. If you're scared, you can share a room with me." Grandma suddenly had an idea and voiced it.

Yan Cheng was startled, not expecting Grandma to say that. Would it scare Wang Muman?

Wang Muman was also taken aback, but then she realized it would indeed be troublesome, having to wake up early and rush here, and relying on her brother for rides every day. However, she was also worried about not being able to adapt to the bed. After thinking, she decided to ask her brother for his opinion.

"Can I ask my brother's opinion?"

"Of course, parents must agree," Grandma nodded.

She had expected her brother to disagree, but to her surprise, after she told him what Grandma had said, he agreed and even said he would bring over daily necessities that evening.

"My brother said it's okay," Wang Muman looked at Grandma.

"That's great, your old Grandma will have the company of a little padded jacket for a few days. Alright, I'm going to buy groceries, you and Cheng can get to work." Grandma stood up and walked out.

For some reason, the atmosphere became a little awkward.

"Isn't Grandma a bit too enthusiastic? She's only been here a few times and is already asking her to stay," Yan Cheng said helplessly.

Wang Muman shook her head, "Grandma's words make sense. It saves me the trouble of running back and forth every day, and I trust you both." She smiled at Yan Cheng.

Seeing that Wang Muman seemed perfectly fine, Yan Cheng felt relieved. Staying here wasn't a bad idea.

"Then let's start now. Once Mingyu arrives, it won't be peaceful anymore; he'll definitely drag us into playing games." The thought of that scene gave Yan Cheng goosebumps.

Wang Muman nodded and stood up, ready to follow Yan Cheng's piano instructions to dance. She practiced, always seeking new sensations, and performed the new moves she had been pondering at home a few times. Just as lunch was about to be served, Grandma called from outside the door.

It was perfect timing. Zhou Mingyu arrived just as the three of them were about to start eating.

"Grandma, your precious Little Yu is here." His voice was heard before he was seen, which was a bit sickening.

Yan Cheng started eating, ignoring Zhou Mingyu. Wang Muman felt goosebumps rise inexplicably upon hearing that.

"It's good you're here, we can just add another pair of bowls and chopsticks. Come, sit here quickly and eat." Grandma's face was calm, thinking he must be used to it.

Zhou Mingyu was not polite at all and started eating immediately, asking as he ate, "Sister Muman is here too!"

Wang Muman didn't expect him to be like He Lele, both of them being of the wild type.

Yan Cheng tapped Zhou Mingyu's bowl, "Haven't you eaten before?" he communicated with his eyes.

"Sister Muman isn't an outsider. I'm hungry, so I have to eat like this." Zhou Mingyu almost sprayed out his rice.
