Chapter 54 Hot Pot

The two changed clothes and Wang Mujin took them to a hot pot restaurant.

"Manman, your brother is so nice! He even brought us to eat hot pot!" He Lele said, linking arms with Wang Muman and skipping along.

Wang Muman was used to it, as her brother always took her out to eat, enjoying the lively atmosphere outside.

"Lele, Yancheng, do you eat spicy food? If not, I'll order a split pot," Wang Mujin asked the two, looking at the menu and ticking off items, first ordering what he and his sister liked.

He Lele ate spicy food, but Yancheng did not.

"Then, for Yancheng's sake, we'll order a split pot." Wang Mujin handed the menu to He Lele, letting her choose what she liked. "Ladies first."

After they finished choosing, they each went to prepare their dipping sauces. Eating hot pot warmed their bodies considerably. With He Lele present, it wasn't awkward, and their conversation was lively.

"Brother Mujin, does Manman have a sister-in-law?" He Lele's sudden question choked Wang Muman, who immediately started coughing. He Lele patted her back, while Yancheng poured her a glass of plain water. Wang Mujin, seeing that others had already taken care of Wang Muman, couldn't help but look at her, thinking she must be very popular at school.

"She has a boyfriend, but not a sister-in-law yet," Wang Mujin answered calmly.

They had expected some gossip, but it was quickly brushed aside, and the group moved on to other topics. Time passed quickly, and by the time they finished eating, their plates were empty. Wang Mujin escorted the two home and then returned to his own.

"I see those two classmates take good care of you. One is quiet and the other is lively. Your school life will be very happy!" Wang Mujin said to Wang Muman as he sat on the sofa.

"I'm not bored anymore. He Lele sits next to me, and her presence makes the atmosphere never dull. Yancheng is good at studying, so I can ask him any questions. Recently, I've found that we have a lot of common topics. I also think he's very thoughtful and gives the impression of being very measured. It's very comfortable to get along with him," Wang Muman said a lot.

Wang Mujin clearly noticed that his sister talked a lot when mentioning Yancheng, observing her expression as she spoke.

"However, he's really bad at playing games, but he's obedient, which is his only flaw." Wang Muman said this with a smile. Wang Mujin, noticing her obvious affection, didn't interrupt. He thought to himself that he should get along well with Yancheng in the future, at least become acquainted, as they lived quite close.

Wang Muman turned on the TV and watched for a while before going upstairs to do her homework. Her current small goal was the final exams. She still needed to work hard on geography. Although she wasn't studying humanities, she wanted to grasp every subject firmly, as she was not satisfied with her current ranking.

Back at school, days passed, and she felt that each day was very fulfilling. Wang Muman really enjoyed campus life. This sense of fulfillment filled her heart. When she went to sleep at night, she would review the day's events in her mind, and as she thought, she would fall into a deep sleep. Having someone in the room made her sleep even more soundly.

"Little Chengzi, isn't your birthday coming up soon? I remember your birthday is always before Christmas, a peaceful time," Zhou Mingyu ran over during the math class break, seemingly remembering it suddenly during class.

Yancheng nodded and handed Zhou Mingyu his notebook, telling him to look at it.

"Will your parents come back? They'll surely come back for their son's birthday, right? If not, we can go to Grandma's house to celebrate. I miss Grandma!" Zhou Mingyu said loudly, and the word "Grandma" reached He Lele's ears.

He Lele reacted, "Shameless, 'our' Grandma, you little shadow."
