The short sword was unsheathed, like a dark lightning bolt, slicing through Edgar's neck.

The short sword fell to the ground with a hum.
Along with it fell Edgar's small body.
The meteoric core material on the sword dealt even greater damage to Edgar in his current state.
In just over ten seconds, Edgar's body rotted and dehydrated, finally turning into dust.
No bones remained, only a transparent, ruby-like heart still beating on the ground.
