The sudden commotion in the toilet was clearly not normal.
Either his second brother had also turned into one of the zombies chasing and biting people outside, or something even more terrifying had come up from the sewer.
Without rushing to act, he detached a metal pole from the mosquito net and quietly got out of bed.
He closed the door from the balcony to the dorm.
Though this process seemed simple, the moment he locked the door, Meng Xiaochun collapsed onto the floor, his forehead covered in cold sweat.
Fortunately, in a temporarily safe environment, Meng Xiaochun quickly calmed down and began to think of ways to survive.
First was weapons. University dormitories had strict management, and dangerous items like regulated knives were practically non-existent. At least, the only thing that could be considered dangerous in their dorm was the iron stool.
Therefore, the metal pole from the mosquito net was a good choice; sharpened, it would make an iron spear.
Next were defensive measures. The books in the dorm were a good option. They could be tied to the arms, forearms, and calves—areas prone to bites—using tape or shoelaces.
If there was no tape, and one feared that shoelaces wouldn't provide a secure enough grip and might slip, one could use a key to drill a hole through the center of a book. Then, using a double-rope threading method to secure the books, and tying a few shoelaces onto the books to prevent rapid wear and tearing.

"Is it still controlled by the brain?"
Meng Xiaochun muttered to himself and then plunged the makeshift weapon down again, each thrust with all his might.
He didn't know how many times he struck before a crisp "snap" jolted him awake.
The ruler had broken.
The mosquito net on "Second Brother" had been thrown aside, his head smashed to the point where his cervical spine was twisted. His body was still wriggling towards Meng Xiaochun.
"Second Brother, why must you do this."
Aiming for the exposed spine, he used the last of his strength to smash down hard.
"Bang."
It was the sound of a heavy object falling.
"Finally... quiet."
