The next day—
The few of them arrived at the company a little early because they were going to the sharing session.
“Sister Jiang, we can go now.”
After tidying up, Qiu Xi and Lin Yixin exchanged glances, confirmed everything was in order, and nodded at Jiang Qin.
“Then let’s go.”
The sharing session was held in a large conference room at the hotel, not far from the company. For convenience, the three of them took the subway.
They arrived neither too early nor too late; some people were already there.
There was no one familiar. Jiang Qin, holding the invitation, led Qiu Xi and the other person to find seats and settled down.
“Once the sharing session starts, you just need to listen and take notes.”
“Depending on the mood of the leaders when we get back, they might ask you to do a secondary sharing, or else write some work logs. So, it’s better for you to take notes seriously.”
While waiting for the sharing session to begin, Jiang Qin shared some of her own experiences with Qiu Xi and the other girl.
“Okay, thank you, Sister Jiang.”
“You’re welcome…”
Seeing the two of them diligently set out their paper and pens, Jiang Qin smiled, her mood good.
Time passed quickly, and the sharing session began.
As the speaker came up, Qiu Xi carefully glanced at the profile on the table.
“…”
It was the same old story, no new ideas… even a bit patronizing!
This was Qiu Xi’s internal comment after listening.
Indeed, the first speaker, perhaps with higher status, went up early.
But what they said was nothing new; she had heard it countless times before…
She couldn’t muster any interest…
She scribbled down a few points and waited for the second speaker.
…
“Xiao Xi, how do you feel about it?”
During the intermission, the three of them sat there chatting.
“It’s okay…” Qiu Xi nodded casually.
Even Lin Yixin felt the same.
It was truly uninteresting.
“Let’s see. Sharing sessions are like this, mostly the same. There are always only one or two that are interesting,” Jiang Qin had seen through it all.
Sharing sessions were held frequently. After a long time, most people lost their initial enthusiasm. Earning more money during this time was much more comfortable.
So now, only a certain group of people were still enthusiastic about doing this.
However, it was often this group of people who allowed one to gain something good.
“But you still need to take notes, otherwise you’ll be criticized for having nothing to say when we get back.”
Formality was important. Even if you knew it was meaningless, you still had to do it, unless you could change the status quo.
And this was a project that required time, not something you could achieve in one or two tries.
“Sister Jiang, don’t worry about this, we’re taking notes.”
“Okay, it’s good that you’re taking notes.”
The intermission was not long, just a brief moment, and then it continued.
As Jiang Qin had said, by the end of the morning, there were indeed one or two novel points.
Qiu Xi even specifically listed them out as a control group, which could add some material data to her thesis if needed later.
However, if she did this, she might become busy again in the coming days, and perhaps she could even conduct a small-scale questionnaire survey at the company.
Because of this, Qiu Xi left in a good mood.
…
“Xiao Xi, the sharing session is over. Remember to send me a copy of your attendance experience and log before you leave work today.”
Just as Jiang Qin had said, as soon as Qiu Xi sat down at her desk in the afternoon, Xue Han called her over.
“For the specific requirements, go and ask Jiang Qin. She has a template.”
“Okay, Teacher Xue.”
“By the way, I heard from An Ran that the suggestions you made were for her revised draft?”
“Hmm?” Qiu Xi was slightly taken aback.
Didn’t she just say one sentence?
“…It shouldn’t count. I was pulled in yesterday while chatting with Sister Jiang, and we all just chatted for a moment.”
“Hmm… I see. You can go back to your work now.”
“Okay…”
It was all so strange…
However, Qiu Xi didn’t dwell on it for long. She turned to look at the tasks in her hands, already overwhelmed!
She had no time to think about other people’s matters…
Xue Han, looking at Qiu Xi’s back from her computer screen, turned back to the draft in her hands, made a few more annotations, and sent it back.
…
Qin Anran, looking at the document sent back again in the outer office, showed a fleeting look of displeasure on her face.
She opened it to see the few annotations and, recalling the points Qiu Xi had made that morning, changed them impulsively.
She then made some subsequent revisions in accordance with Teacher Xue’s requirements.
Having already reworked it two or three times, she found it much faster to make changes now.
In less than an hour, a new version was completed.
However, this time she didn’t send it directly but saved it, preparing to go find Teacher Xue directly later.
Xue Han, having received Qin Anran’s message, didn’t say much and directly agreed, telling her to come find her shortly.
“Xiao Xi, come here for a moment.”
As soon as she sent the message, Xue Han called out to Qiu Xi.
“Teacher Xue…”
“Here, take this and translate it. Be quick, we need it soon.”
“Okay.”
Qiu Xi took the printed paper, nodded, and went back to start translating.
It was a product introduction, not difficult.
It just seemed a little familiar.
Teacher Xue hadn’t specified any requirements, so Qiu Xi translated it as simply as possible and then took it over.
“Teacher Xue, this is done,” Qiu Xi handed over the paper in her hand.
“And the attendance log for today’s sharing session is also done. I’ve sent it to your email, and this is the hard copy.”
Xue Han accepted them one by one and nodded, “Yes, I know.”
“Teacher Xue, then… can I leave?”
It was a small perk in their office; once you finished your work, they wouldn’t bother you.
However, if something happened to you later, you would be fully responsible, so not many people did this.
Besides this, another reason was that the work they had in hand was never finished…
But it was different for Qiu Xi. She didn’t have much to do during her internship, and her efficiency was high, so she could occasionally slip away early.
After listening to Qiu Xi, a faint smile flashed across Xue Han’s face, “Go ahead.”
She was a good talent, just not easy to keep.
She had spoken to the professor a few days ago, and this girl was expected to pursue further studies.
And from what the professor said, if it weren't for the internship, and her inability to find an opportunity to stay at school for the time being, her professor apparently didn’t want her to come out.
Looking at Qiu Xi packing up her desk, Xue Han couldn’t help but sigh, thinking that meeting such a smart girl was worthwhile, and perhaps she could rely on her in the future~
“Teacher Xue, I’ll be leaving now~”
“See you tomorrow.”
Waving her hand, Qiu Xi walked out of the office.
Suppressing her smile, Xue Han lowered her head and replied, “Yes, see you tomorrow.”
