Chapter 48 Recruitment Interview

The next morning, Liang Yunfei and Shen Yan finished breakfast and went for their interviews around 9 AM.

The result was that the interviews themselves weren't difficult, but queuing was. Especially for the Music Association, which Shen Yan was applying to, a large crowd was waiting outside the interview classroom.

After waiting for a significant portion of the day, they were asked a few questions, sang a song, and were told to wait for the results.

It was similar for Liang Yunfei. The questions were mostly the same: why do you want to join our club, what are your strengths, what do you think of our club? Of course, for the more challenging ones, they presented hypothetical scenarios and asked for your response.

Thus, the morning interviews for the two concluded quickly.

On their way back after the interviews, the two discussed their experiences.

"Just as I came out, I overheard people chatting. They asked me why I wanted to join, and I almost replied, 'Didn't you invite me? You advertised so much...'"

"Hahaha~ That's too real~"

"Sigh, isn't that the truth."

...

"By the way, Yan Yan, do you have any more interviews later?"

"Yes, I have a second round of interviews."

"Me too, but I just asked. The second round for the department I applied to just involves a dance demonstration. How about you?"

Shen Yan shrugged helplessly, "I don't know yet. I asked too, but they said they'll send a message if I pass."

"Then don't worry about it, let's head back."

"Mm."

Upon returning to the dorm, Song Daiyao immediately grabbed the two and started asking questions.

There was no other way; the two recounted their earlier conversation in the dorm.

"Then I should be okay too!" Song Daiyao breathed a sigh of relief.

"Don't worry, it feels like the seniors won't make it too difficult for you."

Qiu Xi, on the other hand, was idle, like nothing was the matter, because she didn't have to study in the morning.

She listened from the side, saying whatever came to her mind.

"...Should be." Hearing Qiu Xi's words, Song Daiyao inexplicably felt less at ease.

Her mind started conjuring various scenarios, effectively adding pressure to herself.

"It can't be helped," Shen Yan patted Song Daiyao's shoulders from the front, "Alright, stop overthinking."

"Thinking about it won't help. We might as well think about what to eat for lunch, that's more reliable," Liang Yunfei also tried to divert Song Daiyao's attention.

Then she was effectively led astray, "Right."

After lunch and a rest, Qiu Xi prepared to go out with her roommates to watch Song Daiyao's student union interview.

This student union interview was a bit different from Shen Yan's and Liang Yunfei's earlier ones.

There wasn't a crowd queuing outside. Instead, a group of people sat quietly in the large classroom inside.

After following Song Daiyao in, Qiu Xi and the other two chose seats in the back row.

"Okay, junior, could you briefly introduce yourself?"

"Certainly."

...

"Daiyao, it's your turn, go for it!"

"Good luck!"

Hearing Song Daiyao's name, the few of them whispered words of encouragement from below.

"Okay, I'm going."

Indeed, apart from the self-introduction, the interview questions were mostly situational.

After handling them, Song Daiyao was extremely anxious.

Upon finishing, she rushed off the stage. To conceal her haste, she initially took small steps but then quickly walked once she reached the back.

"Wow! I was intimidated by the senior!" Song Daiyao patted her chest and let out a big sigh of relief.

"We saw, but you performed well."

"Phew, it's good that it's over."

Qiu Xi glanced at the time, "Shall we go? Or stay and watch?"

"Let's go, I need to get some fresh air."

"Then let's go." Saying this, the four of them slipped out through the back door.
