Missing your smile

Chapter 33 Song Bingbing, Who Thought Differently

"You have good taste, I was right about you," Song Bingbing said smugly, as if she had found a treasure.

Qin Hui regretted his answer as soon as he spoke. While having a celebrity girlfriend sounded glorious, Qin Hui couldn't give up the whole forest for one tree.

"What, are you regretting it?" Song Bingbing asked curiously, seeing Qin Hui remain silent for a long time.

"No, I, Qin Hui, am not a gentleman, but my words count." Qin Hui replied. Qin Hui's easy agreement with Song Bingbing was actually part of his own plan. Dealing with the Qin family in Yanjing wasn't something that could be done with just words. Qin Hui naturally needed to develop his own influence.

"Don't worry, even though we are now boyfriend and girlfriend, I won't mind you dating other women, as long as you have a place for me in your heart," Song Bingbing said casually.

"Oh? Why would you think that?" Now it was Qin Hui's turn to be curious.

"I mentioned before that I don't care about such formalities. You know, when I went to hold concerts abroad, their country practices polygamy. It all depends on the local customs. I've seen a lot from my travels, and we can always move out later if needed." Song Bingbing explained her perspective to Qin Hui. For her, worldly rules couldn't bind her.

Qin Hui was stunned by Song Bingbing's forward-thinking behavior. It seemed his judgment of her wasn't wrong. Song Bingbing was right about one thing: worldly rules often restrained many people, but once you had money and power, these rules only applied to ordinary folk.

The two hit it off, chatting until late into the night before Song Bingbing slowly fell asleep. After Song Bingbing drifted off, Qin Hui smiled faintly. He realized he had found a treasure. Although Song Bingbing's ideas wouldn't work in China, Qin Hui would eventually venture abroad. Having this woman by his side would always provide him with different perspectives.

...

As the sun slowly rose the next day, Song Bingbing awoke from her sleep. She hadn't slept so soundly in a long time. On the other side of the hospital bed, Qin Hui had already left. But it was for the best. Today was the day she was to be discharged, and she knew countless paparazzi would be waiting at the hospital entrance.

After getting up, Song Bingbing immediately went to the mirror. Looking at herself with bandages in the reflection, Song Bingbing felt a pang of nervousness. Women are vain, after all, and she worried about leaving any scars that would mar her beauty. Song Bingbing hesitated in front of the mirror for a moment before slowly peeling off the bandages.

As the last bandage came off, a pure and lovely, fair face appeared in the mirror. "Hehe, it seems I was right about you. Qin Hui, you're destined to be mine. You can't escape." Song Bingbing giggled in front of the mirror, her heart filled with sweetness. Her grandmother was right; a woman's modesty was useful with others, but holding back with someone you liked was foolish. Missing out on someone as outstanding as Qin Hui would be incredibly stupid.

...

At a breakfast stall, Qin Hui was devouring meat buns and drinking soy milk. Song Bingbing's situation was firmly in Qin Hui's mind. Although they had reached an agreement, it was best to have less contact for now. Their arrangement was made, and Qin Hui could contact her again when the time was right.

As Qin Hui mused, his phone rang in his pocket. Qin Hui glanced at the caller ID and a look of helplessness crossed his face. A few seconds later, Qin Hui answered the call.

"My dear little brother, haven't you missed your big sister recently?" A very alluring voice entered Qin Hui's ears from the other end of the phone. Even through the phone, the voice had the power to ignite inner fires.

"Sister, is there something?" Qin Hui least wanted to deal with Chen Jiaxue right now. Ever since he helped Chen Jiaxue last time, Qin Hui knew this woman who had taken an interest in him wouldn't easily let him go. Qin Hui wasn't afraid of meeting Chen Jiaxue; he was afraid that if they met again, he wouldn't be able to resist "consuming" her.

"Hmph, can't I call you without a reason? It seems you don't miss your big sister anymore."

"Ahem, Sister, just say what you need to." Qin Hui couldn't resist Chen Jiaxue's coquettish tone and surrendered.

"I have a reception to attend tonight, and everyone else has a companion, but I don't. I'd like you to accompany me. If it's convenient for you, please come. And while you're here, you can adjust my bones again. You haven't treated me for a while." The thought of Qin Hui's medical skills made Chen Jiaxue anticipate it.

"Alright." Qin Hui immediately hung up after speaking. Qin Hui feared that if they talked any longer, he wouldn't be able to drive properly. Not to mention, Sister Xue was quite skilled at seduction.

"Hmph, little brat, you dare to hang up on me. Just you wait until you get here, I'll deal with you properly." Chen Jiaxue smiled charmingly and turned to her room to prepare her evening gown.

After hanging up Sister Xue's call, Qin Hui received a call from Zhao Wuji. In the conversation, Zhao Wuji expressed immense admiration for Qin Hui. Not only had Qin Hui healed Song Bingbing's face, but he had also successfully curbed Zhao He's arrogance. Zhao Wuji's election as vice-dean was now virtually guaranteed. To express his gratitude, Zhao Wuji wanted to treat Qin Hui to a meal, but Qin Hui declined. Qin Hui had a mountain of things to deal with and no time for meals. Zhao Wuji didn't press the matter, merely saying "next time."

After hanging up Zhao Wuji's call, Qin Hui saw a transfer notification on his phone. It was a staggering three million yuan. The message at the end simply read "consultation fee." Qin Hui smiled wryly upon seeing this. Logically, the consultation fee should have gone to the hospital's account, but since it was transferred to his own, Qin Hui accepted it. Combined with the five million yuan that the "idiot" Zhang Ke had gifted him earlier, Qin Hui now had eight million yuan in funds. He mused that the money came too easily.

Qin Hui's happiness didn't last long before a WeChat message arrived. Qin Hui saw it was from Song Bingbing. Of course, Song Bingbing had added his phone number earlier, which also led to her adding his WeChat.

"This three million is specially for you from your sister. Come to me if it's not enough. Remember to keep yourself well-nourished and tender." Seeing this message, Qin Hui couldn't help but smile. "Heh, you woman, you're trying to keep me?" However, one thing that made Qin Hui speechless was that it seemed all women liked to call themselves "sister," which felt like they were taking advantage of him. Was he supposed to tell Song Bingbing to change it to "This is for you from your sister"? The thought made him laugh. After a moment of relaxation, Qin Hui tossed his phone into his pocket and happily started his car. As Qin Hui's car started, a man in black within the nearby woods coldly chuckled. "Boss, the fish has taken the bait."
