Chapter 121: The Angel (5)

Chapter 121: The Angel (5)

A burst of energy goes throughout his back as he gets sent flying across the room into one of the walls. Crash!!!! Pieces of debris fell onto the floor as he remained within the wall.

Drip. Drip. Blood was even dripping onto the floor so there was no way that he was perfectly okay after that attack.

"This is exactly why dragons are so amazing to fight!" He shouts with excitement as he forces his way out the wall.

Don’t let him get to you Rokuro. You need to keep calm or else he is going to hurt you even more.

Everything is fine Rika. I’m capable of handling trash like this, he has already shown me enough to prove that I can’t hold back no matter what.

You can barely see the damn man! Your vision is being consumed by your power because you aren’t fully transforming!

I don’t need the full transformation, just the power. I’ll be perfectly fine with what I have currently, also I can see him just fine.

The outline of him is enough for me to get through this fight.

"Truly, this is probably the most fun I’ve had in a long time." The Angel speaks while walking towards me.

Akina was still firing her pistol at him while Velia was checking on Ghost. Currently a 2v1 was plenty to handle this asshole.

Gunshots were still filling the room but now they weren’t just hitting his barrier, each one was actually connecting with him. I could hear the blood spilling onto the floor with each shot that hit.

"Maybe you shouldn’t talk so much!" Akina shouts with a bit of excitement in her voice.

Sounds like she is starting to enjoy things since we are turning the tables on him after all. I don’t know how long I’ll be able to keep this amount of power going though.

My body is already starting to feel quite tired after just the one punch I delivered to him.

That is the results of using excessive power without letting your body adjust to it. You have to remember that you are still a human at the end of the day.

So I shouldn’t expect to be able to use so much power? Doesn’t that mean I’m always going to be below someone like you Rika?

You just need practice for one, second you aren’t below me. You might actually surpass me at the rate you are going already.

Then I don’t understand why I’m still so damn weak, even after everything I’ve done so far. Training and working on control over my power.

None of it feels like it is enough for me to do anything against this angel.

My thoughts were immediately disrupted when the room suddenly got bright as hell, white light reaching every inch of the room. That was the moment I felt everything starting to disappear within my body.

The scales along my arms disappeared, my vision returned to normal, and I couldn’t really find the energy to move again.

"Full room nullification is quite a gift to have. I don’t think anyone will be able to get the power in time to do any real damage to me again." The Angel speaks with confidence.

I looked towards Akina to notice that her pistol was completely turning to dust after the light disappeared.

Everything about me was back to normal so it was a clear sign that his nullification was too damn powerful for us. My body is already feeling exhausted the way it is.

Without the power I don’t think I’ll be able to keep myself standing much longer.

"Nullification is just a cowards way out!" Akina shouts with frustration.

"I’m just using my gifts. I did give you all the opportunity to talk, didn’t I?" He responds while crossing his arms.

Thud! I fell onto the ground without even realizing it, my attention was on him until that happened. Everything was slowly starting to turn to garbled speech around me as the room started to go dark.

Once again I found myself back in the Abyss, it truly was like another home at this point. Was it even that bad to be here?

The feeling of floating was something I got used to after so many times here but usually Rika has come to me after a bit of time. It never lasts long.

If she doesn’t show up, I wake up.

Step. Step. I could finally hear the footsteps approaching me once again so I opened my eyes to see who it was.

As usual it was Rika. The only difference was that her hair was a lot longer and she was wearing a different dress. I guess everyone likes to spice up their appearance once in awhile.

"I told you that it was too much." Rika says softly.

I felt her arm wrap around me as it brought me down to the ground. It was always weird standing on the dark floor that didn’t seem to exist.

"Honestly I thought that I’d have more time." I respond with a bit of disappointment in my voice.

Passing out now while everyone else is still dealing with the Angel is not the best position for me to be in. Ghost is also out of the fight with quite the injury...

"I won’t keep you here long. You need to get back as soon as possible." Rika said before dragging me along.

She brought me back towards the usual white room that I’d come to know quite well. Usually Seraphine would appear within this room or Rika would bring me here to help me wake up.

It was always so nice in this room, even with the blinding white colors along the walls and floors.

"No one is meeting you in here, just take a moment to catch your breath." Rika suggests with a bit of concern in her voice.

"I won’t push the power too much next time Rika." I assure her while sitting down on the couch.

I haven’t had a blackout in a good while so at least I know that I’ve come a long way since then.
