Chapter 291 - 291 286 Handling

291: Chapter 286 Handling 291: Chapter 286 Handling “Ye Tian, the Wang Family will definitely not let you off the hook,” Wang Qingshan rose to his feet and roared with defiance.

In the police station interrogation room, no matter how Wang Qingshan bellowed, it couldn’t change anything – that was, Wang Qingshan definitely would not be rescued by the cops and robbers outside…

“Not let me off the hook?

I won’t let you off either,” Ye Tian snorted coldly.

Wang Ke’er became bashful, her emotions had gotten the better of her just now, so she had lost control of herself, but now Wang Ke’er came to her senses and stepped forward.

“Ye Tian, the cops and robbers outside are quite fierce,” this was the first time Wang Ke’er had encountered such a situation.

Ye Tian had entered the police station first precisely because he was aware of the situation inside; however, things had not escalated to an uncontrollable level.

“This is a dangerous gamble for Wang Yuetao, but if we get the chance to seize his weakness as he’s breaking into the station, that’d be a thrilling development,” the police officer said with detestation.

Ye Tian remained in place; they were all aware that Wang Yuetao was orchestrating things from behind the scenes, but they had no proof.

“That’s difficult, with an old fox like Wang Yuetao, how could he possibly take action himself?” Ye Tian frowned.

Catching Wang Yuetao would be preferable, but even if they couldn’t, they had to foil his plans.

“You guys stay here, I’ll go outside and take care of those hostage-takers,” Ye Tian narrowed his eyes.

The police station was in chaos, and Wang Ke’er was afraid that if Ye Tian went out like this, he might be mistaken for a hostage-taker by his colleagues.

“I’ll go with you, so at least there’s someone to watch your back,” Wang Ke’er stepped forward and said.

Ye Tian was taken aback and turned to look at Wang Qingshan standing behind him.

“But what about Wang Qingshan?

We can’t let him get away this time,” Ye Tian said worryingly.

In Ye Tian’s opinion, if they let Wang Qingshan escape due to the hostage-takers outside, it would indeed be a loss far outweighing the gain.

“I will arrange a hidden spot for him, and the hostage-takers definitely won’t find it,” Wang Ke’er said, signaling to two police officers nearby who immediately knocked Wang Qingshan unconscious.

After Wang Qingshan passed out, the officers carried him outside to a hidden spot and dropped him on the ground.

“The two of you stay here.

Without my orders, no one opens the door,” Wang Ke’er commanded.

“Yes, captain,” the officers responded on the spot.

Wang Ke’er and Ye Tian left, with Wang Qingshan in the hidden spot arranged by Wang Ke’er.

“There are a total of five hostage-takers outside, and they seem to be foreign mercenaries,” Wang Ke’er walked ahead with Ye Tian.

Ye Tian slightly frowned and took a sharp breath.

“Foreign mercenaries?

It looks like Wang Yuetao is really going all out,” Ye Tian smiled.

If they could capture these men alive, there was hope to find the mastermind Wang Yuetao, and then even he would not escape the sanction of the law.

“Captain!” When Wang Ke’er and Ye Tian returned to the point of conflict in the police station, the officers started updating them.

“How’s the situation now?” Wang Ke’er asked the officers.

“One dead, one injured on their side,” the officer reported.

“But several of our colleagues are injured too.”

In the main hall of the police station, the two sides engaged in intense gunfire.

With five hostage-takers in total, one killed by Ye Tian and another dead and injured, that left only two hostage-takers.

“Only two left,” Ye Tian was stunned.

If Wang Yuetao really intended to rescue Wang Qingshan, he wouldn’t have sent so few men.

If more people were to burst out amidst the chaos created by the hostage-takers, the officers remaining in the station, including Wang Ke’er, would likely be unable to cope.

“Correct, but they are resisting stubbornly, as if trying to buy time,” the officer reported truthfully.

Wang Ke’er chuckled and said, “They sent one person, sneaking in to try and rescue Wang Qingshan, but we killed him.

It seems the situation is somewhat under control now, and once our backup arrives, these people will have nowhere to bury their dead.”

Upon hearing Wang Ke’er’s words, the officers felt a surge of joy – nobody had expected that someone would dare to engage in such fierce gunfire within the police station.

“Leave this to me; it will minimize the cost,” Ye Tian narrowed his eyes, his attention on the three hostage-takers firing guns in front of him.

One of the hostage-takers was already injured, and Ye Tian could clearly see that, although the situation was tense, there was no hope of rescuing Wang Qingshan anymore.

Wang Ke’er nodded, knowing that some officers in the station had been ambushed and were seriously injured, so she too wished for the gunfire to come to a swift stop.

“Cover me,” Ye Tian yelled to Wang Ke’er and the others.

Suddenly, Wang Ke’er led the police in a ferocious barrage of gunfire, and Ye Tian seized the opportunity to rush straight toward the hostage-takers.

The hostage-takers were stunned; they hadn’t expected someone to dare make a charge at this moment.

“Someone’s charging us?” the lead hostage-taker bellowed.

“Fire at will!”

As the hostage-takers shouted orders, Ye Tian narrowed his eyes, fixing his gaze on the three men armed in front of him.

“These robbers don’t seem to be well-trained mercenaries, do they?” Ye Tian gasped.

Wang Ke’er had just told Ye Tian that these people were all trained mercenaries, but when Ye Tian got close to the robbers, he discovered that their abilities were quite ordinary.

They simply had some understanding of firearms and mechanics.

However, in terms of physical skill, there was nothing exceptional.

Even though Ye Tian had already approached the robbers, they merely saw him and couldn’t really perceive his presence there.

“Over here.” The robber stood up, picked up his weapon, and was about to spray bullets in Ye Tian’s direction.

Suddenly, Wang Ke’er picked up a gun, aimed, and shot the robber in the head, killing him instantly.

“Boss.” Another robber shouted.

In the midst of the robbers’ panic, Ye Tian, hiding in the shadows, emerged.

His thrown silver needles struck the bandits accurately, and they fell to the ground on the spot.

“Damn it.” In an instant, with Ye Tian’s arrival, the robbers were mostly dead, with only one injured robber left.

The only injured robber, with a wounded leg and unable to move, stood up with a fatalistic mindset and started to fire at Wang Ke’er and her group………………

Seeing the vigorous hail of bullets, Wang Ke’er quickly took cover.

Within a matter of seconds, the gun fell, and she felt a surge of joy in her heart.

Ye Tian seized the opportunity to approach the robber, kicked the gun from his hand, and pinned him to the ground.

The robber couldn’t move his legs and, facing Ye Tian’s strong suppression, had no chance of resisting.

“Just who the hell are you?” The robber’s eyelids twitched……

If it hadn’t been for Ye Tian’s appearance, the robbers wouldn’t have collapsed and been killed in an instant.

“I’m the one who came to clean up after you,” Ye Tian said with a corner of his mouth lifting into a smile.

The police station was quiet, and officers began to mobilize, moving toward Ye Tian.

Three robbers dead, one injured—the scene was extremely gruesome.

Moreover, with the intense exchange of fire, the police station was in a state of disarray.

“These people actually dared to cause trouble here.” Wang Ke’er stepped forward, grabbed the robber in front of her, and roared, “Who instructed you guys to come here?”

The foreigner in front of them laughed, and Ye Tian squinted his eyes.

Noticing a slight movement in the robber’s hands, he quickly pulled on Wang Ke’er’s shoulder.

“Be careful!” Ye Tian feared the robber might take the opportunity to do something to Wang Ke’er.

“No!” Ye Tian frowned.

The robber’s body was riddled with bullets like a hornet’s nest as the arriving reinforcement troops gave the robber no chance to react.

“Dead?” Wang Ke’er came back to her senses and crouched down to touch the body of the robber in front of her.

All the robbers were killed, and Ye Tian and Wang Ke’er stood still as they saw the police support arrive.

“Chief!” Wang Ke’er straightened her body.

The chief himself came over with a look of panic.

“These bandits were really brazen,” the chief roared angrily.

The injured officers were promptly taken to the infirmary.

Thankfully, no officers had been lost, and all five attackers who had stormed the police station were fatally shot.

“Chief, it’s unfortunate that the last living captive was killed.

We can’t trace the mastermind behind this,” Wang Ke’er frowned.

Ye Tian had had the opportunity to kill the robber in front of him, but he hoped to spare the man’s life to trace the matter back to Wang Yuetao.

This way, Wang Yuetao would have no reason to run.

“Given the crisis situation just now, we had to eliminate the robber,” said the assault team commander as Wang Ke’er expressed her regrets.

The chief nodded his head.

Under those circumstances, there was nothing inappropriate in the actions of the assault team that came to support.

“Come with me.” The chief called Wang Ke’er aside into his office.

Ye Tian stood still.

Although the situation at the police station had subsided, he couldn’t help feeling that something was amiss.

Actually, by the time Ye Tian had rushed to the police station, the robbers had already broken in.

During all this time, the robbers hadn’t really made a significant advance inside the police headquarters.

Instead, it gave Wang Ke’er and others the upper hand.

The longer the standoff dragged on, the better it was for the police.

The actions of these criminals seemed to be a suicide mission.

“Chief,” Wang Ke’er stood in front of the chief.

The chief furrowed his brow slightly and said, “This attack is very serious and will cause great harm to our force.

You must thoroughly investigate it.”

“We suspect Wang Yuetao.

The robbers came here for the purpose of rescuing Wang Qingshan,” Wang Ke’er said without hesitation.

The chief stood still, looking at Wang Ke’er and said, “But without solid evidence, we cannot lay a finger on someone like Wang Yuetao.”

“Even if it requires harsh interrogation, we must get to the bottom of this.

Otherwise, it will look as if our police force can be easily bullied,” Wang Ke’er said firmly.
