Medusa, reborn in the guise of a goddess, sincerely thanked Perseus. "Brave demigod, I am the goddess of marine fertility. The schools of fish are abundant due to my presence, and my power ensures the proliferation of life in the sea."
"Please accept my gratitude. As long as you and your descendants call upon me in the sea, I shall bring you bountiful catches."
With this promise, Medusa's form dissipated in a radiant light.
At that moment, Tyche in the heavens blocked the concept gods who had poured out en masse. Phorkys, the Wrath of the Sea, and Keto, the Danger of the Sea, were filled with resentment, but under Tyche's pressure, they retreated step by step, only stopping when their father, the primordial sea god Pontus, stepped forward to block Tyche.
Pontus, seeing Medusa break free from her curse and regain her freedom, sighed inwardly and said with a forced smile, "Your Highness Tyche, Medusa is my descendant. You have no reason to interfere."
"Pontus, I am the god of ocean currents, the master of springs and streams. The creatures in the water regard me as the goddess of life; the origins of the ocean are close to me, bestowing upon me the authority to command all waters, and with these powers comes the obligation to protect them!"
Tyche unceremoniously stripped Pontus of his pretense. "As the goddess of marine fertility and the protector of fish, Medusa should rightfully be my attendant!"
"You coveted her authority, seizing this power of procreation from its original owner and handing it over to Echidna to breed monsters. This is not what parents would do."
Echidna, the serpentess who bred countless monsters with Typhon, was, like Medusa, a daughter of Phorkys, the Wrath of the Sea, and Keto, the Danger of the Sea. Yet, these parents had not fulfilled their duties. Echidna's rebellious actions were likely with Pontus's tacit approval. The rumors of discord between the mother of monsters and her parents were a pretext to disown responsibility in case of failure.
None of this could be hidden from Tyche, who possessed the divine office of history and secrets. After clarifying these connections, Tyche calmly waited for Zeus to ascend to primordial god status before making her move against Pontus, one of the masterminds.
At this moment, Medusa also arrived beside the confronting sea gods. She looked disappointedly at her impassive parents and grandfather, then stood behind Tyche.
"Very well, since Medusa has made her choice, you may withdraw."
Tyche looked at Pontus, her gaze gradually turning dangerous. Eros had been watching Pontus. If Tyche were to attack this primordial sea god without a justifiable excuse, Eros would surely intervene. However, if Pontus's side attacked first, Tyche could legitimately impose punishment, as offending a primordial god had severe consequences.
Phorkys, the father of sea monsters, burned with rage. This sea god, representing danger, broke through the obstruction of Nereus, the Friend of the Sea, and lunged at Tyche.
Tyche remained unfazed, the Aegis of the Lake appearing in her hand. She struck the charging Phorkys with great force!
The power of the celestial sphere combined with the weight of a small world. The father of sea monsters was suspended in mid-air like an insect hitting a wall, looking quite comical.
This was precisely what Tyche wanted. She waved her hand, sending forth threads of causality that pierced Phorkys's body. Golden divine blood flowed along the invisible threads, giving form to this seemingly fragile weapon.
Phorkys's cry stimulated Keto. The goddess of the Danger of the Sea twisted her serpentine lower body and charged at Tyche. The trident in her hand slashed across the threads stained with divine blood, attempting to rescue her bound husband.
These threads of causality were both tangible and intangible. Keto's weapon swung through empty air, and she thrust it towards Tyche.
This couple were not weak. With their mid-tier divine power, they could manage to live in seclusion. The Spear of Eternity, shimmering with golden light, appeared in Tyche's other hand. She casually swung it forward. Keto's trident met the edge of the Spear of Eternity, and the trident, as expected, turned to dust. The flying fragments, carrying Keto, sent her flying backward. The immense force slammed Keto into the seabed.
Tyche's expression was cold and stern. The Spear of Eternity in her hand completed a beautiful arc and stopped.
"Pontus, you make your move. Engaging with them will only bring me shame."
Pontus first retrieved his limp daughter Keto from the seabed and said with a wry smile, "Your Highness Tyche, you are already a primordial god whom we look up to. Your majesty is unshakeable. With your power, why bother with my children?"
This statement subtly implied that Tyche was bullying the younger gods and lacked the demeanor of a primordial god. Knowing that Pontus would not be easily dealt with, Tyche naturally had a retort.
"Oh, then I shall let you choose. Canna and Zeus, you pick. If you two were to face my sons together, it might be negotiable."
Gales and dark clouds responded to their mother's call, turning the clear sea area into darkness.
Tyche's sons appeared in the sky, facing Eros, the primordial god of love, who had arrived upon hearing the news.
Three primordial gods and two deities of transcendent power gathered on this barren island. The tense atmosphere made the gods on the divine mountain equally anxious.
The clamor of the sea monsters was like waving fireworks near a fuse, threatening to ignite an unprecedented conflict between the confronting parties at any moment.
Tyche indifferently swept her gaze over the sea monsters. The Spear of Eternity in her hand moved slightly, and an invisible force erased their existence, leaving not even ashes behind.
Athena, leading the gods of the Okeanos lineage, emerged from the waves. The sovereignty of the ocean was about to be definitively settled today.
Tyche, possessing the divine offices of sky and earth, was a world cornerstone more powerful than the former Gaia. The celestial sphere beyond the sky and the underworld beneath the earth were all under Tyche's control. Only the ocean, with the primordial sea god Pontus within it, had always been like a bone stuck in her throat, causing discomfort. Now, it was time to remove that bone.
Phorkys, tightly bound by threads of causality, let out a piercing scream. Brilliant divine blood spurted from his wounds like a fountain. These invisible threads, under Tyche's will, slowly cut into the body of the father of sea monsters. The clear and persistent pain almost shattered Phorkys's will!
"Do not think I will spare you for your possession of law powers and overlook your transgression. There are many ways to make your lives more painful than death!"
Under Tyche's icy gaze, the concept gods recoiled, not daring to meet her eyes.
Pontus's expression flickered. Pushed to this extent, he had no choice but to fight. If he retreated now, the concept gods would likely never obey his commands again!
