Chapter 115 Adventurers

"They seem to have followed the instructions of some being to go to the Abyss to rescue me."

Wojin's eyes flickered, as if recalling something incomprehensible. "I clearly remember them communicating with me, but the moment they disappeared, all information about them was forgotten by me! Their appearance, voices, clothing, I can't recall any of it!"

Tike immediately thought of Mnemosyne, the Greek goddess of memory, who had once used her authority to conceal the existence of the goddess of love, Aphrodite.

'A deity who mastered the authority of memory erased the memories of those adventurers!'

But then Tike had another question: if such a deity similar to Mnemosyne truly existed, why didn't she hide all of Wojin's memories of the adventurers?

It couldn't be impossible. Since she could make Wojin forget their appearance and voices, erasing their entire image wouldn't be difficult! What was the reason for that? Deterrence? But Io's current strength was absolutely above all gods. Holding the Tablet of Fate, Io could banish rebels from the divine realm at any time!

If he had discovered the existence of an anti-Io alliance, he could have picked a member from the alliance to make an example of, why would he go to such lengths with such a veiled warning? This actually revealed his bluff, making the restless wolves unable to suppress their desires. How unwise!

Gradually, Tike began to understand.

Doing so might be for maximum benefit!

That group of disappeared adventurers had plans to return to the world of Faerun! And Wojin still retained relevant memories so that they could have allies to connect with when they next arrived in Faerun! Wojin was not a god of the chaotic alignment. This was a life-saving grace, and she would surely offer rewards that would entice the adventurers.

The more Tike thought about it, the more plausible it seemed. Only this could logically explain why Wojin hadn't completely forgotten those adventurers!

If they proceeded from this line of thought, the fact that this group of adventurers had established a connection with Wojin indicated that they were not allied with Io! At least their interests were not the same! This was good news! What Wojin could offer, Tike could also offer, but what Tike could offer, Wojin could not! Since they had taken notice of Wojin, why not her? Perhaps they were the key to her bringing down Io!

The more Tike thought, the more excited she became, almost dropping the golden goblet she held. Fortunately, all the gods were engrossed by Wojin's news and paid no attention to Tike's lapse.

Leaving Wojin's divine realm, Tike adventurously connected to her main body and invoked the power of the Entropy divine function; the changes in matter and energy were all within the control of the Entropy divine function. The appearance of adventurers would cause fluctuations in stable matter and energy, and these anomalies were nowhere to hide from Tike's sight!

Carefully avoiding the Material Plane, Entropy's divine power spread towards the Abyss.

Graz'zt, the Dark Prince, ruled the 45th, 46th, and 47th layers of the Abyss, which was why he was honored as the Abyssal Prince among the demon lords. To rule three layers of the Abyss single-handedly, Graz'zt could be said to be powerful.

The city of Xel'lotath, existing simultaneously in three planes, also housed Graz'zt's Silver Palace, composed of sixty-six ivory towers. Graz'zt resided in this palace, plotting schemes and accumulating power.

An imperceptible fluctuation swept through the Silver Palace. Graz'zt, the Dark Prince on his throne, immediately opened his eyes and looked around, trying to find any disturbance in the peaceful Silver Palace.

Graz'zt's appearance was that of a tall, handsome demon, with dark purplish skin and eyes that gleamed with an eerie green light. His pointed ears and slightly yellowish fangs all indicated his race, but the Dark Prince's most astonishing feature was his six fingers and six toes.

Tike stood before Graz'zt, and the dissipated energy fluctuations reappeared in her sight! Several figures, obscured by shadows, suddenly appeared. They moved swiftly and coordinated, engaging Graz'zt while rescuing the trapped Wojin.

The Abyssal Prince Graz'zt was caught off guard. Under a barrage of continuous attacks, he retreated repeatedly, watching helplessly as Wojin was rescued.

The mirror maze surrounding the Silver Palace did not hinder the adventurers at all. One of the adventurers roared, and an invisible shockwave shattered these mirrors, causing the demons attempting to block them to cover their bleeding ears and wail.

A petite figure leaped lightly, transforming into a shadow that enveloped everyone. The moment Graz'zt charged forward, they vanished.

Tike continued to pursue along their trajectory, unconcerned by the tense Graz'zt.

The adventurers leaped through the shadows, leaving their marks in Thanatos on the 113th layer of the Infinite Abyss, ruled by Orcus, the Demon Prince of Undeath, in Demogorgon's salt marshes, and in the 651st layer Abyssal plane of F'karr, the Chain Lord. After turning the Abyss into a mess, these troublemakers patted their behinds and left.

The entire process was incredibly efficient! Tike was certain that the adventurers had investigated the situation in the Abyss beforehand. F'karr, the Chain Lord, was Graz'zt's brother, but they were not on good terms and often clashed! This information was unknown even to some deities, and the adventurers always managed to lure the enraged Graz'zt into his enemies' territory, buying themselves time to escape.

After leaving the Abyss and arriving in the Underworld, it was true, as Wojin had said, that the material and spiritual energies represented by these adventurers disappeared.

However, Tike still saw a force guiding the adventurers away. This force enveloped the adventurers, crossing the Sea of Chaos in the blink of an eye, disappearing from her sensory range at a speed that almost prevented Tike from reacting.

Tike tried her best to pursue, and the last thing she saw was this force easily killing a giant god-spawn blocking their path, after which she could no longer find any trace of them.

The main body outside the crystal sphere's boundary, with eyes like lightning, immediately went to the location where the god-spawn had died to search for its corpse!

The giant corpse floating in the Sea of Chaos was so conspicuous. The World Tree was rooted in the god-spawn's corpse, and it returned to the outside of the crystal sphere with the remaining spoils.

God-spawns were stillborn fetuses conceived by deities. When the divine functions and divinity of both parents had irreconcilable conflicts, the child conceived would become the natural enemy of the deity! God-spawns only had the desire for destruction and devastation in their minds, and in their nature, they harbored greed and malice towards deities. Once encountered, killing them was the only way to escape entanglement.

However, god-spawns were not entirely without value. Their chaotic divinity, after being purified, could be absorbed by deities. But for deities capable of killing god-spawns, the effort and reward were not equal. And weak deities who desired to obtain divinity were no match for god-spawns, so the number of god-spawns did not decrease, but only increased.

Tike naturally did not covet the divinity of the god-spawn. Her goal was to take away the traces of the unknown power left by the adventurers. The rest only qualified to become nourishment for the World Tree.

A faint white light, like a spark, still remained on the貫穿傷 (piercing wound). With the god-spawn's tenacious vitality, let alone a piercing wound, even if Tike split it in two, it would still survive.

Firefly-like light spots converged into Tike's hand, and the moment Tike tentatively touched them, they exploded violently! Tike immediately withdrew, but even so, her finger was still cut by a small wound by the white light.

The wound could not heal on its own! Tike was greatly alarmed. The supreme divinity flowed around the wound, and after repeating the process more than ten times, this force was dispelled, and the wound healed.
