Chapter 140 Extra 4 Alda

Amidst a ethereal song, a grand ceremony dedicated to Ilúvatar was taking place in the dim, dense forest. As the elves danced with grace, the ornaments in their hair shimmered under the moonlight.

The benevolent Drow arrived in Middle-earth and quickly integrated themselves into the Sindar elves, becoming one of them. Oropher, the ruler of the Woodland Realm, did not mind accepting his kin. He already governed Silvan elves and Noldor elves, and generously embraced these dark-skinned wanderers.

Along with the Drow, who were renamed Moon Elves, came the faith of the Maiden of Darkness. Unlike Ilúvatar and the Valar, who seldom appeared, the faith of Ilúvatar brought tangible power!

Ilúvatar's archery and swordsmanship divine offices were perfectly suited to the agile and graceful elves, while the divine offices of dance and song were also embraced by the art-loving elves. Her faith soon spread throughout the Woodland Realm.

The Valar, led by the King of the Great Winds Manwë and the Queen of the Stars Varda, were happy to let Ilúvatar bear the responsibility of fighting Morgoth and Sauron. The Valar preferred to return to the Undying Lands and participate in Ilúvatar's Great Music, rather than search for Morgoth and guard against the darkness's invasion.

Under the moonlight, a dark-skinned female elf, radiating a soft moonlight, was in difficult labor. She cried out in pain and, with the help of the Maiden of Darkness's priestesses, successfully gave birth to a child.

Before the male elf who received the child could rejoice, he was informed that his wife had returned to the embrace of the Father of All in the West.

"My love, do not leave me."

Looking at the sorrowful male elf, Tyché said to Ilúvatar, who appeared beside her, "As long as you wish, you can be resurrected and return to your beloved. Your child needs a mother's love."

"My avatar has expended too much power in nurturing Legolas and can no longer sustain itself."

Ilúvatar looked gently at her son in her beloved's arms, planting a tender kiss on his tender forehead. The crying Legolas immediately stopped his sobs and reached out towards his mother.

Wiping the tears that streamed down Thranduil's cheeks, Ilúvatar vanished into a patch of moonlight before her beloved could notice.

"This is your choice, and I have no right to interfere."

Tyché also came to the infant and sprinkled a handful of the spring of wisdom on his forehead, "But at least your child should know his mother's appearance."

Her beautiful silver hair shone with moonlight, and Ilúvatar smiled lovingly at her son's dazed gaze. Infant Legolas blinked and, like his mother, smiled.

"I bless you, Legolas."

Tyché spoke solemnly, "I bestow upon you the wisdom to see through illusion and falsehood. May you follow your heart in making choices and be true to yourself."

The divinity inherited from his mother, the Maiden of Darkness, displayed extraordinary power. Legolas's eyes, like black jade, emitted a faint glow, clear and bright. The radiance of the starlit sky was reflected in the infant's eyes, unveiling the curtain of his magnificent life.

Although a demigod by birth, Legolas's physique was not enough to keep him awake for long. He soon fell into a deep sleep amidst the gentle singing.

Ilúvatar gazed at her beloved and son with longing, unwilling to leave for a long time. Vórin, who had hurried over, consoled her, "Do not worry, he will know your love for him. No matter how far apart, children can always feel their mother's gaze. One day, he will come to you, and then you will tell him that you have not missed a single moment of his growth."

"Lord of Lothlórien, Galadriel, has promised to watch over your child. Do not worry that he will be persecuted by Morgoth and Sauron. It is time for us to do what we must."

Tyché's words finally made Ilúvatar decide. The three goddesses vanished into the moonlight.

Among the Valar, Morgoth was endowed with the greatest power, being "the most powerful force under Ilúvatar," surpassing even his brother Manwë.

After Morgoth's shadow receded, his most powerful and trusted Maia, Sauron, became an undeniable enemy of the people of Middle-earth. Sauron deceived the elves of Eregion, leading them to forge the Rings of Power under his tutelage.

Humans received nine, dwarves received seven, and elves received three. The one ring that could influence all other wearers was secretly taken by Sauron – it was the One Ring!

The three goddesses, along with the other Valar, had to ensure that Morgoth would not return. The people of Middle-earth needed to deal with Sauron's threat themselves.

Time flew by. Prince Legolas of the Woodland Realm moved lightly through the branches. He had come of age and could face most dangers alone. His divinity made him immune to sword damage, and his strength surpassed that of giants and orcs. Even his loving father, Thranduil, had to admit that he no longer had any reason to keep his son confined and protected under his wing.

The deceased queen had not left behind any cherished necklaces, and the alliance between the Woodland Realm and the Lonely Mountain remained unbroken. However, the dwarf king, whose greed was ignited by the Heart of the Mountain, acted increasingly erratically, causing Vórin's caravans to stop less frequently at the Lonely Mountain and shift their focus to Lake-town.

As a prince beloved by his people, it was necessary for Legolas to mediate. Sauron's threat was imminent, and the alliance could not afford to be consumed by internal strife. Thranduil set out for the Lonely Mountain to negotiate with the dwarves, and the human side had no choice but to send Legolas, who had some connections, as an envoy.

In Lake-town, three tall women in cloaks appeared before Legolas. The silver-haired woman's voice was as beautiful as song, while the golden-haired woman exuded an air of nobility.

The busy townsfolk did not notice them, and though unseen, they instinctively made way for them.

"Look, Ilúvatar. Your son has not failed your expectations. He has become the bridge connecting us to this world."

Legolas, leading a white horse, walked past the three goddesses. Human maidens followed him excitedly, discussing his transcendent demeanor and extraordinary handsomeness.

Ilúvatar was no longer in her original spot. She had moved to her son and revealed herself to him. Although they had only met once, Legolas retained the memory of his mother from his birth. He excitedly hugged his mother and spoke of his and his father's longing.

"Lord Vórin, leave that dragon to me," Tyché said, watching Legolas embrace his mother with a smile in her eyes. "Don't let it disturb the touching scene of Ilúvatar and Legolas reuniting."

Vórin also smiled and nodded, then rose to intercept Smaug, the dragon who had fled to Lake-town.

The wounded Smaug circled in the sky. Vórin effortlessly turned Smaug into gold before it could be discovered and cause panic.

The townsfolk were busy scrambling for the scattered gold coins, and no one noticed when the handsome elf left Lake-town.

With Morgoth's troubles resolved, Sauron would not last much longer. The Valar sent a contingent of Maiar to deal with Sauron. The reason they did not act personally was to teach humanity, who were ensnared by the Ring's temptation, a lesson. Virtue must be tempered through suffering.

The epic story of the destruction of the One Ring would ensure that the people of Middle-earth would remember the consequences of greed for a long time. When the light of goodness dispelled the shadows of darkness, the elves would cross the sea to the land of the Western gods to enjoy peace, and that is another story.
