Gaia’s face was clouded with lingering anger. She took the flowing ocean divinity from the giant god’s hand and squeezed it, causing the consciousness remaining within the divinity to dissipate.
Casually hanging the masterless divinity in mid-air, Gaia’s majestic gaze swept over the gods, who were as silent as cicadas.
Disappointed, Gaia turned her eyes away and spoke sternly, “Cowardly gods, do you wish to submit to Uranus, obey his commands, and be dominated by him!”
Having personally experienced the tyranny of the first god-king, the twelve Titans were filled with trepidation. The proud major gods felt as if they had returned to the past, being ordered around by their father. Fear welled up in the eyes of several delicate goddesses, threatening to drown them. The male gods exchanged glances, and finally, Kronos stood up to make a declaration to the gods.
“Primordial Gaia, Mother of the World! The gods will not bow to the tyrannical Sky God! We are willing to follow your guidance!”
Gaia nodded with satisfaction. “Uranus has always wanted to return to the earth, and I am tired of his endless harassment!”
“Ouranos will prevent the sky from approaching the earth, buying you sufficient time.”
The vacant-eyed giant merged into the earth, and immediately, towering mountain peaks grew from the ground. The divine power of the mountains effectively curbed the trend of the sky and earth merging.
The gods cheered and sang praises for Gaia’s mighty power. The giant named Ouranos symbolized the protruding parts of the earth, representing the earth’s aspect. From this power, the masculine incarnation of the Earth Mother God was born.
“Tyche!”
Tyche, who was called upon, felt a stir in her heart, already knowing what Gaia intended. Taking a deep breath, Tyche gracefully rose and bowed, “I await your command.”
As expected, Gaia said solemnly, “You are the goddess who controls the climate. Among the gods, there is no one more suitable to take over the divine position of the sky!” The twelve Titans had no objections to this. The power of the sky divinity was only below the earth, and at least it would grant a powerful divine rank! However, the current situation gave the gods no reason to object. Tyche felt a surge of joy but maintained a calm expression, responding steadily, “I am willing to obey your will!”
Gaia nodded appreciatively. “You must abandon the origin of the climate and integrate it into the sky, only then will the origin of the sky accept you! Next, you will compete with Uranus for the power of the sky. He, who is still asleep, will awaken faster with the aid of the climate origin. But do not worry, all the gods will provide you with assistance!”
Her sharp gaze swept over the twelve major gods who were only below the earth’s divine seat. The two major gods of the sea realm needed no further mention. The lineage of Radiance and the lineage of Prophecy had clearly expressed their support for Tyche to replace Uranus. With the support of six major gods and Gaia’s favor, this matter was settled. The blind Themis raised the scales in her hand to witness the outcome of the meeting.
Asteria sincerely congratulated her friend, but there was also a hint of worry in her words, “Tyche! You will face the threat of powerful divine power. Once you are at a disadvantage, the climate divinity is in danger of being lost! You should think carefully.”
Gently patting her friend’s arm, Tyche smiled and said, “I am the goddess chosen by fate, and the divine power of fate will guide me to make the right choices.”
The Starry Night Goddess nodded. “I will support you.” The Goddess of Prophecy and the two daughters of the gods of Darkness and Intellect shared the divine position of the night, possessing no small power in the celestial domain.
Thanking Asteria for her assistance, Tyche walked towards the highest earth divine seat. Under the gaze of the major gods, Tyche straightened her back and slowly passed the thrones of the major gods. The Earth Mother God, seeing Tyche, was very kind. She reached out and took the wandering ocean divinity from mid-air, saying with a smile, “This is your reward.”
Tyche knew very well that Gaia did not expect her to win the competition with Uranus. She merely wanted Tyche to hinder Uranus, and this was compensation for the climate divinity that was destined to be lost. Thinking of this, Tyche accepted the divinity without hesitation and absorbed it. The vast divinity not only replenished the deficiency of the climate divinity but also left a surplus. This transaction was not a loss!
Separating the climate divinity and origin from her divine fire and integrating them into the sky, the sky origin immediately grew stronger. Uranus, in his slumber, greedily accepted this great offering, taking another step closer to awakening. After this financing, the climate origin was no longer Tyche’s exclusive domain, and similarly, the sky, having accepted the climate origin, opened its doors to her.
The divine fire was connected to the celestial domain, and faint celestial divinity was forged from it and absorbed by Tyche. Tyche, having lost the climate origin, immediately felt a wave of weakness. Fortunately, the abundant ocean divinity quickly replenished this weakness. The half divinity from the ancient sea god allowed Tyche to reconnect with the origin of water once more. The divine positions of lakes, ponds, waterfalls, rivers, and springs appeared one after another, and Tyche obtained them. From then on, the water gods on earth were completely freed from Pontus’s control; they had a new leader!
Tyche, filled with joy, opened her eyes. Tethys, sensing something, smiled without speaking, and Oceanus stroked his white beard, his eyes full of smiles.
