After bidding farewell to her mother, Tyche enveloped the two young goddesses in clouds and returned to her small island. Entrusting the children to the care of the dryads, Tyche sat by the pool again, took out the divine essence of the Sea's Marvels, pondered for a moment, and resolutely decided to absorb this unclaimed divine origin.
The new divine origin stimulated the divine offices of ice and rain. A brilliant aurora flew out, swirling and dancing in the night sky. The breathtaking beauty mesmerized the dryads, who looked up at the unprecedented spectacle.
The aurora gradually expanded, soon covering the entire sky. The Moon Goddess and the Goddess of the Moonlit Night in the sky were both awestruck by the aurora's beauty, voluntarily dimming the moon's radiance to better appreciate the aurora's splendor.
The world's laws rejoiced at this nascent power. The divine office of aurora quietly appeared and was taken into Tyche's palm.
Following the same pattern, the power of rain, stimulated by the divine origin, manifested as a rainbow hanging in the sky above the island. The divine office of rainbow descended from the heavens. Tyche did not accept the power of this divine office. After a moment of thought, she split the divine office of rainbow into two. An outer-red, inner-purple rainbow and an outer-purple, inner-red halo appeared. Tyche bestowed these two divine offices upon the twins.
Upon receiving their divine offices, the twins' divine power rapidly grew, and their bodies matured into the forms of young women. The two newly born goddesses of faint divine power flapped their colorful wings and, hand in hand, approached Tyche. They knelt on one knee to pay their respects, speaking in unison, "Our most noble and esteemed Sovereign Goddess, Princess Tyche, Iris and Arke pay their respects to you!"
Tyche could not help but smile and said gently, "My subordinate goddesses, according to the ancient covenant, I will provide you with protection; and you shall serve me with loyalty and uphold my glory!"
The two goddesses nodded and bowed, replying in unison, "We shall follow your will."
Tyche smiled gently, "Goddesses of the Rainbow, you shall appear in the sky after the rain to announce to all beings that the rainfall has ceased. You will also serve as my messengers, conveying greetings to the gods."
With two capable assistants, Tyche was overjoyed. The task of rainfall could be entirely handed over to the two subordinate goddesses. She only needed to provide the divine power for the rainfall and continue to laze around her territory.
Having formulated her plan for idleness, Tyche instructed the Rainbow Goddesses to establish their residences on the island, while she returned to the pool. Floating leisurely on the water's surface, Tyche studied the newly acquired divine office of aurora. This divine office had limited potential, capable of supporting at most a weak divine power rank, but it was better than nothing.
Integrating the divine office of aurora into the divine office of climate did, to some extent, complete the divine office of climate. Tyche paddled dejectedly, contemplating future opportunities to gain power. Among the divine offices she currently possessed, only the divine office of temperature had the potential to advance to the rank of medium divine power. The level of powerful divine power still felt too distant.
Tyche sat on the shore and examined the divine office of temperature within her divine fire. Upon advancing to medium divine power, she had gained the divine office of cold, which was a powerful supplement to the divine office of temperature. As long as she could obtain the origin of heat, the divine office of temperature could be promoted. But how to obtain the origin of heat? Tyche frowned and shook her head with a bitter smile.
As a sea deity by nature, Tyche was not favored by the domains of fire and heat. To obtain the divinity of heat, she could only exchange with deities of related divine offices. However, the divinity of oceans and water was not favored by such deities, and she seemed to have no bargaining chips.
Tyche stood up in distress, picked a bunch of pure white lilies, and lowered her head to sniff their fragrance, which soothed her agitated mood. Sighing in frustration, Tyche mobilized her divine power to gather dark clouds and instructed the Rainbow Goddesses to assist with the rainfall. The Rainbow Goddesses, who were playing with the dryads on the island, received their sovereign's command. They spread their wings and flew into the sky, their lithe bodies weaving through the clouds, pushing the dark clouds to spread.
After the rain stopped and the clouds dispersed, two rainbow bridges spanned the sky. The graceful goddesses returned to the cloud-shrouded island.
Tyche was very satisfied. Once they became proficient, she could delegate the task of rainfall to them.
Returning to the divine temple, Tyche wove the aurora into a curtain and hung it at the temple's apex. She carefully admired the shifting colors and nodded with satisfaction. She then crafted a robe and put it away, thinking it would be a congratulatory gift for Asteria when she awoke.
Time passed quickly in idleness. Bored, Tyche experimented with pearl powder masks and extracting lily essential oils. The power of water circulation was incredibly convenient for extraction, and Tyche even gained the divine offices of makeup and perfume. The power of these minor divine offices was so weak that they could not even support the rank of faint divine power.
However, since these divine offices were acquired for free, the products derived from them were suitable as gifts for goddesses, which would be quite helpful in interactions among the gods.
Having tasted the benefits, Tyche embraced a pastoral lifestyle, spinning wool to make cloth and crushing tree bark to make paper. The divine office of spinning and the divine office of papermaking were acquired. The long-dormant divine office of handicrafts became very active with the appearance of the divine office of spinning, advancing to the rank of weak divine power, which was an unexpected delight.
