Chapter 416: Nishimiya Yuzuru Running Away From Home in the Heavy Rain!
Ren could understand Sylvia’s awkwardness, but he didn’t say much. He then opened the ability enhancement function. He had 179 million doomsday points. After thinking, he chose to upgrade Limitless God first.
[Ding! 100 million doomsday points have been consumed!]
[Ding! SS-rank Limitless God has been upgraded to Lv9!]
He was already familiar with the power of a Lv9 upgrade. Then he opened the Doom Integration Device again.
[Ding! 10 million doomsday points have been consumed!]
[Ding! Integration beginning!]
He chose to integrate the eight elemental abilities into Limitless God. Half an hour passed. Outside, a heavy downpour started. Ryoko and Hinami, having packed, waited quietly.
Slowly, he opened his eyes. He had successfully integrated all elemental abilities, but something surprising occurred. The characteristics of Faith Power and Nature Integration disappeared, replaced by a new one.
Limitless Nature: Controls the limitless natural power of Yin-Yang, Five Elements, Wind, Forest, Fire, Mountain, Light, and Darkness. The control over natural elements was now more precise and flexible.
"Are you all packed?" he asked, noticing they had been waiting for some time.
"Yes, we’re all packed." They only packed some daily necessities, as he had requested. Ryoko had even left behind family photos. In the future, they would have new ones with him.
"Then let’s go."
After a magical spatial movement, he arranged for them to stay in apartment 102 and also sought Ryoko’s consent to arrange for Rize Kamishiro to stay there. Ryoko and Hinami were still sleeping in one room.
As Ren walked out, he saw two people anxiously leaving Shoko’s house, 101, across the hall. One was Shoko, and the other was a more mature woman with long pink hair and heavy eye bags. They were holding umbrellas, preparing to go out into the pouring rain.
"Shoko, long time no see." Since they were neighbors, Ren greeted her.
"!!!" Shoko’s eyes widened; she felt she hadn’t misheard, such a clear voice in her ears.
The long-haired woman frowned. Wary of anyone having ill intentions towards Shoko, she asked, "Do you know Shoko?"
Ren introduced himself. "I am Ren, living in room 401. I suppose you must be Shoko’s mother."
"Yes, I am. My name is Nishimiya Yaeko," she replied, her speech noticeably quick and anxious.
"Forgive my intrusion, but you two seem very flustered. Has something happened?" Ren asked.
Shoko quickly held up her phone, which read: "Yuzuru ran away from home in anger."
"Yuzuru ran away? This weather is a bit dangerous." No wonder they were so flustustered.
"It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have scolded her," Mrs. Nishimiya regretted.
"Mrs. Nishimiya, I’ll help you look. As for Shoko, you should stay at home; the rain is too heavy." He had already found the person, under a desolate unfinished building.
"But I’m very worried about Yuzuru," Shoko typed, her expression worried.
Ren placed his large hand on her head. "Don’t worry. Yuzuru will be fine. She’ll definitely find shelter."
"Mrs. Nishimiya, I’ll go look first."
"I’m so grateful to you!" One more person meant one more chance. They exchanged contact information. As he was leaving, Shoko pulled his arm and held up an umbrella. "Thank you."
Ren understood, took it, and left with Mrs. Nishimiya. There was no wind, but the rain was heavy. Seeing that her umbrella was about to be crushed, Ren slightly adjusted its vector to make it much easier for her to hold.
"Mrs. Nishimiya, I’ll go this way, and you go that way. We’ll split up."
"Okay."
The two separated. Ren walked around the corner and then directly teleported to Yuzuru’s location.
Under the eaves of the unfinished building, Nishimiya Yuzuru was huddled, shivering, with her knees hugged to her chest. The sudden heavy rain had soaked her completely. Now she only felt terribly cold.
Her head was buried in her knees, her eyes dim. The rainwater splashed on the muddy ground, each drop seeming to strike her fragile heart. Because she was immature, because she didn’t want to go to tutoring, she had a big fight with her mother and ran away.
